There is no comparison between Anquan Boldin and Terrell Owens.

None.

Boldin doesn't have anything remotely approaching the baggage of Terrell Owens.

Boldin would have to act like an idiot 24/7 straight for several months to even begin approaching Terrell Owens' stratosphere.

No.

Nothing that anyone can produce of video, audio, whatever of Boldin being a "cancer" cannot be compared to Owens. However, people will try, won't try, iJordanTaber?

:)

The question is about owners regrets, not teammates. Therein lies the difference.

Who knows better about a players' character?

But anyway, if it gave him the win today- you know Lurie would take him in a heartbeat.

The discussion is about owner regrets. Regardless of who knows better. Owners and players are not synonymous.

OK

If Lurie could have signed Owens on Tuesday for a guaranteed win today, reckon he would have done it?

A lot of the eagles players didn't feel this way, I would think the would know better.

I bet many of them wished they had him today, just like they didn't want to begin with.
5Countem5, you naughty guy you. ;)

Unless the players are on record (video, etc.) to prove how they feel about Owens, how do you know how they feel about him? And why would even care by commenting without "proof"?

That's irrelevant anyway. In this instance, the only thing that matters is how an employer feels about the employee. Let's discuss this again when players begin hiring other players. :)

OK,,, You take a stab at this too.

It's not really like you to hypothesize, 5Countem5. You love tangible facts. Why the change?

Is that some sort of answer?

In arguments like these, hypotheticals are about all we have. Because none of us really know what goes on in the locker room, do we?

It is a ridiculous hypothetical. If it would guarantee him a victory today he'd put you at starting QB.

Gee, how bright is that?

Why would he? John York has never been involved in the day to day operations of the 49ers. His wife and brother-in-law were.

Wow, you don't know what you're talking about.

Denise doesn't do anything other than sign the checks. John is the acting owner, though he doesn't do the "day-to-day" operations because he's not and has never been the General Manager.

Nope.

His Eagles REACHED the Super Bowl in '04 without Owens helping them secure victories both the NFC Divisional and Championship rounds.

Armed with both that knowledge AND the utter bs Owens began to display almost immediately after Lurie's team lost to the Patriots, his choice would be simple.

Now, if you want to rephrase it to IF Lurie would consider having him for the Super Bowl AFTER they had beaten the Cardinals today, then you would have a better argument to fall back upon.

So maybe his complaints shouldn't be taken too seriously.

I bet he would put me or TO on his roster in September too- if he could make the SB. It's all a little relative. He says it wasn't worth it because he lost, but next year he would sign him in a heartbeat for another chance.

You're so ridiculous...and obnoxious.

And once again, need I point out that the thread has been completely diverted away from its POINT by the T.O. Police?

The point is that shouting on the sidelines isn't a big deal; everybody does it. You can't bash Owens for shouting on the sidelines when it's an accepted practice in the NFL. Yet you do.

I'm just curious 5Countem5. :)

Your customary responses are centered on simply discounting anyone that doesn't come forth with hard fact contained within their replies, but now...

...NOW you're trying the hypothetical route. Not like you fella. Why are you changing your tactics?
