Anthony Barr reportedly not retired and generating interest from two teams

Former Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr isn’t hanging up the cleats just yet, according to KSTP’s Darren Wolfson.

The former four-time Pro Bowler still very much intends on playing football, and he’s also generating interest from a couple of teams. Per Wolfson, those teams are the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders.

While the Commanders have “kicked the tires” on a potential move to sign Barr, the Cowboys have seemed like the most interested team overall.

I think he would be a good fit, the line back and core would look a lot better with Barr in it and I think he fits between Stephen's tight purse strings.
Exactly how would overpaying an old, injury prone, washed up LB who can only play the SAM and will only be in on 15% at most of the snaps make the LB core better?

I'm tired of all this younger is better stuff, we've got enough young players on this team we need veterans that have been successful in this league to teach players like Micah, CeeDee and Diggs how to be pros.

I think he is past his prime. Unless George Steinbrenner has taken over the team I don't see this happening.

I didn't realize the Cowboys were dumpster diving in Minnesota.

Kinda shows you the difference between the 2nd best team in the North and the supposed best team in the East.

Barr's body has been breaking down over the last 2 years. He has missed 20 games. He has nothing left.

If he can squeeze some money out of the Cowboys, more power to him. Why not? The Vikings moved on from him long ago.

Barr wants way too much money. Stephen Jones will not cave in to that pay demand. Anthony Barr will never be a Dallas Cowboy unless he seriously takes a major discount.

I mean, we have the cap space, and it would only be for a 1 year deal.

For me it depends on the price. Barr could help the 2022 Cowboys, but only in a limited role, and for likely just one year. Any contract should reflect that, and I honestly think that’s why there’s been no movement to this point.

How about you? What’s your position?
I really don't know....that's why I asked you lol.

Can't say I'm against it.....we know they aren't giving him big money.
