I just believe that Q isnt overly concerned with that type of LBer meaning that LVE may be penciled in at WLB, but that is just early on paper.
LVE will have his role, and if he were to get injured than Barr would be on speed dial.
If we bring him in it would be interesting and a bit surprising.
I don’t know if he had been playing in the same type D.

It seems every free agent is tied to the Cowboys so still take this reports with a grain of salt. However, I would certainly welcome him to the LB room. LB is probably the position with the most questionable depth.

Anthony Barr reportedly not retired and generating interest from two teams

Former Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr isn’t hanging up the cleats just yet, according to KSTP’s Darren Wolfson.

The former four-time Pro Bowler still very much intends on playing football, and he’s also generating interest from a couple of teams. Per Wolfson, those teams are the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders.

While the Commanders have “kicked the tires” on a potential move to sign Barr, the Cowboys have seemed like the most interested team overall.

I'm tired of all this younger is better stuff, we've got enough young players on this team we need veterans that have been successful in this league to teach players like Micah, CeeDee and Diggs how to be pros.
Lol, his career high tackles is 78, sacks 4, unless you want him to teach them how to be average for half a season and injured for the rest I’m not sure this is who you want teaching them anything other than how to line their pockets!

Peeps just want new toys, even if they are already used and been left out in the weather too long and all rusting up.
Just give me something new to play with....

I mean, we have the cap space, and it would only be for a 1 year deal.
More like 4-5 games
That’s about his limit
Don’t get the excitement for a pass rusher who average a couple sacks a year and an injury a month

I don’t get the excitement over Barra guy that is 30 and has 17.5 career sacks
He’s had more games missed with injury than sacks

I’d much rather pick up Hitchens if we just have to pick up someone. He can at least play both the MLB and WiLL and effectively. Barr is just an overpriced, average at best, IR candidate waiting to happen!

There's little question the current version of our LB corps needs backup help.

Of course, much depends upon the asking price and if Stephen will accept it.

Let's face it, folks -- both Vander Esch and Jabril Cox are injury risks in 2022.

It would surely seem worthwhile to seriously consider Anthony Hitchens, too.

How has a team full of young players paid off in the playoffs? Bobby Wagner would've been a great addition to this team but SJ thinks like you, young and cheap, that's why we keep getting what we're getting PUNKED AT HOME BY THE 49ERS!!!! Looking like they've never been there before, no leadership from the players. Home teams in the wildcard round went 5-1 guess who the 1 was?

Spoken like SJ, we run this team like an accounting firm, you guys root for winning the salary cap. The bad part is that you guys eat up all the SJ madness. SMH

Wagner would have been the best FA pickup for this team. He can actually teach the younger guys and be a mentor. It just made too much sense. Stephen offered him free parking and a couple nights at whataburger and Wagner went to LA. It is what it is.
