Agreed but he is a 6th rounder. Fast. Technically sound...meh. He is our 4th CB. Really can’t complain.I agree that he has out played his draft status. He is fairly decent against the run and he always gives decent effort but he should not be a starter. The thing that pisses me off is he is supposed to be one of our faster players but guys run by him all the time.
That game was terrible….there was one point where even Derek Carr was laughing at the officiating…..

The stats are 5 penalties for the season with 4 of them in the Raiders game.Didn't he have several penalties against Tampa Bay in that first game? ...Maybe he just got burned a lot in that game. I just remember he had a really bad game.
Lewis and Joseph? As of right now, he is our #2 CB.
I would love to see Joseph step up and win the starting job and the team cut Brown. We could use that cap space to help make this team better. Another example of signing our own mediocre player and not being surprised when the team doesn't get better
And who is not overpaid. Here's my thing with Brown...he was a 6th round pick. He has vastly outplayed his draft status. I think the guy is a decent player that plays with toughness at CB. So I like the guy.
I think they wanted to 'be seen'.
It was a Thursday game which meant is was nationally televised.
If the Refs were gambling on the game I think they would have been more subtle.
Both teams had more penalties than any team in any game in 2021.
Yeah, because we instead use it on resigning our own players like Brown. That's why I said we COULD use it to get better. You been watching the same team during the offseason that I have? We do not use cap space to get better.
Remember what Chris Godwin got away with in Week 1 vs Jourdan Lewis?
I’ll never believe in a million years that the Cowboys got a fair shake from the refs in 2021. If that makes me a whiner, so be it.
Oh, of course. And then people will say, “It was a coaching issue!”Yeah, Goodell’s refs still taking it out on the Cowboys for fighting Zeke’s suspension. I bet Connor Williams’ penalty issues go away now that he’s no longer a Cowboy.
For all other games in 2022, Anthony Brown had 1 penalty for 5 yards.
In the Raiders game he had 4 penalties for 91 yards.
Even Cowboys hating NFL media types were criticizing the refs for that game.
If everyone else on the team played as far above their draft status and contract as Brown we would be unstoppable.

If I was a ref inclined to gamble I would probably not do it during a game involving one of the most popular teams in professional sports. A gambling ref can make just as much money cheating during a 1pm Jaguars vs Colts game.
