Anthony Henrys Injury Last Year

unless we trade our 1st round pick away haha. Maybe for someone like dunta robinson! one can only hope. If if we do draft a CB, Springs would then eventually become our 3rd CB, hopefully making for a sweet nickel back.

or they can move him to FS and Taylor to SS when they Cut AA in a couple years

Good news for Skins fans.

In Madden, Newman is an 87. You can probably trade a 2nd rounder for him.

Why would we want to cut AA unless he underperforms?

Because #1 IMO he isnt very good

#2 The way his contract is structured blows up after year 3 and will need to be cut or restructured

He was a FA, but St.Louis made no effort to resign him

prob. knowing he was gonna accept a much sweeter deal from another team (us).

There are 2 ways to address that type of injury. You can try rest and rehab (which is what Henry did last season) or you can go ahead and have the surgery (which is what Springs opted for).

Henry tried to get back in too quick and the injury hindered him all season. Springs did the smart thing and got the surgery. He can rehab over the preseason and should only miss a couple games at worse. It shouldn't linger like Henry's did. Then again, Springs is so brittle I'm sure he'll figure out another way to get hurt...

Henry was never really the same after his injury. It appears to be a tricky injury to heal once the season starts. I would sit Springs down (he doesn't need preseason games) and hope it heals prior to the season. If not, it could be something that nags for awhile.

I remember Pat Swilling of the Saints had one in the late 80's. He was on a tear with 8 sacks until he strained an abdominal muscle and was never the same again.

For Henry it was even worse because it seemed to erode the faith Parcells' had built in him over the year. Parcells would praised the Hell out of Henry and say nothing about Newman. Now you hear Parcells saying Newman is the best player on the team. It's a complete 180.

I think that Parcells' praise to Newman over Henry has more to do with Newman clearly outperforming Henry last season.

Not that Henry was awful or bad, but Newman was excellent and teams could pick on Henry a little bit.
