Patriots always make the best moves. What we needed to do is not let them make those moves. That means... yeah, I would've definitely looked at Brown. (I realize we don't have money just lying around though) We can't win a Super Bowl if they're always in the way.

They aren't in our way...yet.

Worked for Randy Moss. Didn't work for Chad Johnson or Albert Haynesworth.

Will have to see. I am betting on it does not work. How you blend him along with Gordon should be fascinating. Deadly in Madden, unpredictable in real life.
the patriots will go 19-0 in madden,

This was his plan all along. He didn’t want to play for the Raiders.

You won’t hear a peep from him anymore now that he’s on a good team. He’s going to ball out. He threw those tantrums to get out of crappy Oakland.

Randy Moss 2.

He's not the proverbial "right kind of guy" for the Patriots, or the kind of player the Pats typically go after.

But, given all things in New England, it makes perfect sense.

Patriots have never stuck to "right kind of guy" - they took Randy Moss when he literally quit on the Raiders. Like...just stopped playing. Stayed on the bench, stopped running his routes. Do you not remember going into the 2007 season and everyone thinking Moss was going to tear up the locker room?

They also have taken Josh Gordon, Haynesworth, Chad Johnson, etc.

Patriots mentality has always been, we'll give you a chance here and know your place. As in, you're simply a luxury for Bill and Tom.

This could be one of Brown's last chances in the NFL. If other teams see that he'll even lash out and act out with the Patriots, then they might be real hesitate to sign him if he ends up like he did in Pittsburgh and Oakland.
