im just curious to see something.. would you guys rather have antonio bryant and braylon edwards or keyshawn johnson and terry glenn? keep in mind bryant wouldnt of been the cancer he was if he wasnt stuck behind two old men past their primes and the coach is too blind to see it. he just wants to play and i like that.

I obviously would like the Cleveland tandem because their talented and obviously younger. The point is Bryant is no longer here and it's past time that we moved on. Let's try getting behind who's here and supporting them. At least until next year when we have a chance to do something different.

I can't remember the exact quote....but Coach Norman Dale in "Hoosiers" had a great line.

it was something to the effect of......."we would appreciate it, if you would cheer for us for who we are......not who we are not."

We made the right move. Period.

Bryant was going to be nothing but a trouble maker. He needed to be cut. Sure Morgan isn't great. But we got something for Bryant. If we didn't get Morgan, we would've cut Bryant and got nothing in return.

Will he turn out to be a great WR? I don't know.....if he does fine. Remember Cris Carter? Buddy Ryan cut him.....said, "All he does is catch TDs". Ryan was RAILED for saying it. He was criticized endlessly for letting a great WR go.

But Carter himself said that it was the right move for Buddy to make. He was immature. He needed a wakeup call.

Perhaps this is what Bryant needed. It was clear he would never be anything other than a distraction while a Cowboy.

Good luck to him.

I think Spags put it best in a column last week when he said that the Morgan-Bryant trade can't be looked at like a "'regular trade" can...and evaluated on a 'fair value' scale.

Altho it was a 'trade', Morgan was not the quid pro quo for AB, because AB had to be be moved, and anything gotten for him was gravy.

Perhaps the mistake was in trying to get anything at all for Bryant, and not releasing him outright, as his antics warrented. That would have led to complaints too, but would have reinforced the idea to those who still can't grasp it that he had to go, at any and all costs.

By 'foolishly' attempting to get 'something' for him, the fair value issue will continue to crop up.

When it was actually an unloading issue more than anything.

I am annoyed that the player we got for him is gonna be buried so far down the depth chart
When are all you Morgan haters going to realize that the trade wasn't about geting value for value?

Yes we would have. Crayton was on the team when Bryant was traded as he was drafted last year. He would've still contributed at the end of last year like he did, and he would still be here in TC/preseason.

I think all the Parcells apologists need to stop acting like this wasn't a huge mistake. I bashed Parcells for some moves where it turned out he was right, like cutting Derek Ross, and trying to mkae the switch to the 3-4 which resulted in cutting my favorite player in Coakley, but it looks like that's going to work out. The Bryant/Morgan trade though, I wasn't wrong about. He's 3 times the player Morgan is and he's going to make a very good #2 WR in this league. Morgan would make a good #2 WR in NFL Europe.

So what you're saying is that so far you are 0 fer 2 second guessing Parcells. BUt this time we should really, really listen to you.

I'm betting on Bill for the trifecta.

my problem with the entire bryant situation is the reason we even had a "situation". we had young talent sitting behind "has-beens" for a lack of better words. i understand bryants complaints and as a fan want a good wr corps. bryant was only going to get better while our other two wr's are only going to get worse. and to top it off glenn got injured and really made bryant look all that much better. bill was wrong here no matter what anyone says. we were a better team with bryant starting than without him at all.

No one in the Cowboy front office agrees with that.

We were a worse 'team' with Bryant on it, period, because Bryant has no concept what the word means.

Like Ol' Faithful, Bryant will blow up this year in Cleveland. Just watch for it when Braylon Edwards starts to come on and is the centerpiece of that offense during ABs contract year.

I'm rather looking forward to the fireworks personally.

Actually Crayton wou not have contributed last season if AB were still here, because if AB were here he would have been starting in Terry Glenns absence NOT Crayton. Remeber it was because Glenn went down, and the Morgan injured his hammy that Crayton got any time at all.

AB has done nothing in the league, while he has talent the headache that comes with it made him expendable

When did we have a chance to get Edwards?
