What battery do you have? Stock?

Those numbers seem way too good. What is your screen time?

If you look at what is listed it kind of tells you. Phone Idle, means the minimum power it takes to keep the phone "on". Cell Standby is the power it takes to stay connected to the phone network. (not even sure that including data services, as LTE would chew through the battery a lot faster) Since screen uses the most, but doesn't use that much more than phone idle and cell standby and you see that messaging it taking up quite a large percentage also.

Basically, he only used his phone for occasional texting over the two days. I say occasional as if he were doing it all day, the screen would have eaten much more of the battery than idle and cell.

not stock, rooted with faux's kernel. screen on time was ~5hours.

used these screen settings http://rootzwiki.com/topic/26383-my-vzw-gnex-settings-for-battery-life-thread/

and AOKP's power saver options make it golden

Is it as good as it's meant to be? Due an upgrade in a few weeks and planning on getting this.

Love my Galaxy SIII on tmobile. I thinking about selling the ipad I got last week. Apple is incredibly annoying.

Do it, and pick up the Nexus 7. It's a great companion to an android phone.

Just ordered my 16gb Nexus 7. I didn't think the 8gb would be enough when traveling for work.

You are going to LOooOoVe that Nexus 7. It's all I recommend now to anyone looking for a 7inch tabby.

I looked at 10" tablets for a long time and couldn't find one that had a price/performance ratio that pleased me.

Initially I didn't want a 7" tablet but the more reviews I read, the more I got sold on going smaller than 10". The Nexus 7 looks like it'll be more comfortable to hold for extended periods. That and packing to travel will be a lot easier.

Perfect size. At first I thought it was too small, but it turned out to be perfect.

Galaxy Nexus. The iPhones look puny and like children's toys next to it.

Same thing with my Samsung Note. :D

Upgraded to Jelly Belly 5.0 a few hours ago. I can't tell a whole lot of difference between it and 3.6. It MIGHT be a little smoother in general use, but that's probably just my imagination. :)

Switch to CynogenMod 10 preview. It's much better than JellyBelly.

LiquidSmooth ROM.

One of the lightest and resource friendly ROM out there. Been using Liquid builds for a few months now.

Rootzwiki is a good site to get developer info from.

Battery life on the Galaxy Nexus is a joke. I just carry an extra battery and have an extra one in all my cars.

How do you like your Nexus outside of the battery life?

In the beginning I was a little disappointed. Can't remember which build I was running, but it was ICS. I was having too many reboots and force closing of applications.

After getting fed up I decided to try a custom ROM. It took me a couple of ROM's to find one that I was satisfied with. Haven't had a reboot in months. FC's happen, albeit much less now.

My overall experience is great. Still a little disappointed in the plastic build - seems a little cheap. But, the phone has held up well - better than I expected.

All my previous smart phones have been iPhones. I still contend that Apple does some things better, but then again, I also feel there are some things that Android does better as well.

Now-a-days when someone asks me what phone I recommend I can confidently point out the differences between iPhone and Android and wouldn't hesitate to recommend either one. There are, however, a lot of crappy Android phones that are out so one must make sure they choose a 'good' one.
