Any chance Jerry uses the first 1st rounder on Jeremiyah Love?

Let's say it outside the top 10 .......11-15 range

BTW......I'm starting to think they could target LBer or CB with the 2nd, 1st.

Nothing against the player and I was a big supporter of taking Jeanty if he fell, but after what we saw this year, makes no sense to draft a 1st rd rb. They basically found a back off the street to become a 1k runner if not more. If they decide to move on from Williams, they will just sign another starter in fa.

Now, if they want to add another back later on as Blue has disappointed, have zero problem with that on day 3.

After watching Sean Tucker from Tampa Bay today, I'd love to see Dallas either trade for him or sign him if he becomes a free agent.

Would be nice if our dipwad of an owner spent some money in FA which would then allow us a chance to go BPA on a guy like Love instead of force picks for need.

But alas……

Totally agree in spending money on the open market, but I’m not on board using a 1st rd pick on a rb, after what we saw this year.

Because we don't have either or 2nd or 3rd round pick.
I would actually be OK with taking love. If we don't take a RB early we are not getting a starter unless we resign Williams or pick up a FA. Which we know they don't do. Blue has been a disappointment, but what did we really get for a 5th rounder pick.
I have loved what we have got out of Williams, but is a magic in a bottle scenario. We need a bell cow running back.with limited resources.
And don't forget we have lost all the backs we have looked at the last 2 drafts cause Jerry keeps giving our picks away, same this year !

What did we see?

Williams? That was lightning in a bottle.

Not that we have to use a 1st round pick on a TB. I am generally against the idea as well but we should put ourselves in a position if we are picking 15th, let’s say, and he’s BPA, it would be nice to at least be able to consider taking the best player instead of forcing a pick on the 5th best DE.

The decision most likely will be made before the draft.

IMO I think we'll see the Cowboys try to trade back to gain a 2nd+ in this draft.

Not a fan of drafting a RB in the first, unless we are in the 20's and all other 1st round grade guys are gone.
I can see Love being a very good RB in the NFL, but don't want him if it cost a high first rounder(top 16)

That will have back to back 1k runners spending minimum dollars at the position. You invested all these high picks on our OL, makes zero sense to draft a 1st rd running back with the defense still having major holes.
