Any chance Jerry uses the first 1st rounder on Jeremiyah Love?

LOL, here we go again.

Resigning your own guys isn't IMPROVING your team over the previous season. It's status quo.

And again, his point isn't that he's counting on rookies. His point is that the Cowboys have literally told you they don't really see FA as where they improve the team, rather, they improve through the draft. Those are Jerry/Stephen's words, not Mountaineer's.
I did not say it was improving. I said it is a FA signing.

I hate to say it so far the eagles are put it on a clinic how valuable the top defense is. What's interesting that they are done it without a lot of turnovers. Just keeping upon us off the scoreboard. Have a lot on the 13 points the last two games. Hopefully Jerry is paying attention

But it really isn't. Because he's on this roster now.

To include him in the discussion on the Cowboys lack of FA activity is just disingenuous.

It's true and again I am generally opposed to using a 1st round pick on a TB.

But it would be nice if the Cowboys weren't constantly in a position to force a positional pick in the 1st round and give yourself a chance, especially with 2 first rounders, to take an explosive offensive player.

I have no delusions that they will take Love because I suspect they will sit on their thumbs in FA again and then draft DBs, LBs or DEs with their two first round picks because they have to.

Agreed.

IF Guyton continues to suck and Steele is most likely gone, tackle could likely come into play imo.

If he's BPA when we pick, I'm all for it.

People are right that our defense needs talent way more than our offense does, but forcing picks on defense is how we got into this mess to begin with.
agree with bpa, but also if the board shakes out towards offense, you could try to move back.

x1000

fix the trenches and the defense first. Anything that allows Jerry to regress into shiny objects mode is a big thumbs down for me. That's what is killing this franchise.
Look at Philly… they lost a stud DT to a 100 million dollar deal and their last years #4 DT is now #3 and making big plays. Dallas needs another stud DT to match up with the one they just traded for.
