He is one of 3 players at 22 I would love to get.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. (if he fell to us) He's big, nasty, a tackling machine. This D needs some attitude and he's got it. He seems to like to inflict pain on the O. I love that about him.

There is a good possability, IMO, that he could fall to 22. There is a good possability that he doesn't as well but I think he could possibly be there. This is a heck of a football player here. The problem is that he is not all that fast IMO. He has a lot of intagibles but physically, he is not as gifted as a lot of others IMO. He's also on the small side. I don't think he's ever going to be a 260 type player. If he gets to 250, I think that's going to be pretty dang good for him. As a MLB in a 43, he could get nicked up a bit because he is not big. As an OLB, I don't think he's a very good fit. I also don't think he's great in coverage. A great deal depends on scheme but I don't know it this guy is a sure fire first round pick. I really like him as a football player but I don't think his skills will translate into that. He might even end up being a 3rd round pick just depending.

Good thread.

So much of this depends on what Wade thinks Carpenter is. If he agrees with Parcells that he should eventually be an ILB, we probably have no interest in Willis. If Wade thinks Carp has true pass rush ability and belongs outside, we absolutely could be interested in Wills, who is no doubt a heck of a player.

BTW, Burnett is a wild card, too. Wade has reportedly made some positive comments on him, and the Phillips 34 doesn't demand the 250-lb run stuffing ILBs like Parcells' system did. He might be our Donnie Edwards type.

But put me in the camp that thinks Bradie is very much in danger of riding a lot of pine this season. IMO he was always a bit of a pet project of Parcells, and he was never that good outside of some big hits.
