We need to put someone with speed opposite Dez. And Terrance Williams is not a legitimate #2 on a Super Bowl caliber team. This is not the 90s....where you can put a ANYBODY opposite Micheal Irvin. With todays rules.....and with the way Dez gets doubled....you need someone that can make teams pay for all the attention Dez gets. It would make the windows Romo has to work with so much easier to throw in to.

Can you believe we won a Super Bowl with Kevin Williams opposite Micheal Irvin? Simply would not happen in today's NFL!

Who were the Seahawks WRs in the Super Bowl?

Is Seattles defense #1 in the NFL? The way THIS team is constructed.....we will win a lot of games...but we are not an ELITE team because of this defense. And you are actually making my point....if Dez got hurt during a playoff game against an elite team...we are toast. Seattle would keep rolling...much like they have done since Percy Harvin has left. This team and this offense is not designed to work with just ANYBODY at WR.

Sorry, but disagree. How do you know Williams is not a SB caliber WR opposite of Dez. You said it yourself in a way, We won with a SB with another Williams opposite Irvin. that makes no sense is saying this, to me anyway.

Many analogies can be made from this. That is lie saying, can you believe Russell Wilson beat Payton Manning in the SB....

People compare eras all the times, when in fact, it is the same, it's basic football 101. Always has been, always will be. Some rules changes will not make or break a player.

and Terrence Williams has shown he can take up the slack when Dez has been doubled.

I did say we won a Super Bowl would Kevin Williams as a starting WR...and with THIS team...with this defense...with this coaching staff...it would not be done. Dallas was very good in all phases on those teams....especially the coaching staff.

This statement was not specific to the Cowboys or Dez. You said that a team can't win the Super Bowl with the equivalent of Irvin and Kevin Williams.

Terrance Williams has 550 receiving yards and 8 TDs. Why do we need a new WR2? Beasley has nearly 400 yards and 4 TDs as well. And our offense puts the ball in Witten/Murray's hands in the passing game a lot too. There's 110 catches for 1100 yards between the two of them.

T-Will is exactly the kind of guy you want in a WR2. He steps up and makes plays when his number is called. People want to act like he just disappears, but the reality of it is he's not disappearing, they're just running the ball and throwing it to Dez and Witten on about 80% of the plays. =P

This team has over a half-dozen positions where they need to bring back FAs or bring in new FAs and they have very little cap space... WR depth is not a problem so bringing in a new FA would be a poor use of the little funds they have.

If he does come here he would probably want more money than Dez since he was drafted higher than him even though it was different yrs. Remember this is the same guy who had contract dispute after he was drafted because he thought he should make more money than Heyward-Bay Wr who was picked 3 spots earlier by the Raiders. Hope he has matured since.

Sure there are better #2 WRs in the league, however, I don't believe Williams is hurting the club. I'd venture to guess he is a 'average' #2 WR.

He is doing what is being asked of him.

Yes, in perfect world would it be nice to have a Golden Tate / Victor Cruz / Randall Cobb type in the WR2 spot? --- Yes. Those kinds of guys are more of luxury than a necessity however.

As a number of other posters have indicated there is no shortage to pass catches on the offense besides Dez in Murray, Witten, Beasley, etc.

With that dominant defense, Oline, run game, coaching staff, QB, etc, etc....sure it would.
Now if you're saying to take our current team and put kelvin Williams opposite Irvin....you're right, they would not win a title.

As for Crabtee, I'm assuming he is not the speed receiver you are referring to. Right?

I like what TWILL brings to the club.

and his "lack" of production is a by product of Murray's production.

Aren't we coming off a game where Williams scored a couple td's?

On a cheap deal I wouldn't mind bringing him in. Not that it's a priority. He'll be another year removed from his Achilles injury and he's always had elite hands.

Lately the Cowboys have shown a proclivity for taking a chance on veteran former high draft picks on the cheap.

If he can be had for a solid price I'm not against it. I don't think Crabtree is done yet. Him and Kap...just not on the same page.

Is Crabtree willing to be a #2? I think he believes he is a #1. If he does move on and he will want #1 money. Don't have time for that

He would be redundant with Bryant and offers nothing Bryant doesn't. He is on over the middle guy and has little deep ability
