Im ok with Twill....... although i think he has suspect hands, but neither him or Crabtree are the deep threats i think we need.
Outside of Green Bay, show me another team that spreads the ball around as much as Dallas does and have their #2 WR have 8 TD catches? He's 6'2 and ran a 4.46 at the combine, and actually looks a little faster than that in game.
I'm not sure what more you want, really.
Sure there are better #2 WRs in the league, however, I don't believe Williams is hurting the club. I'd venture to guess he is a 'average' #2 WR.
He is doing what is being asked of him.
Yes, in perfect world would it be nice to have a Golden Tate / Victor Cruz / Randall Cobb type in the WR2 spot? --- Yes. Those kinds of guys are more of luxury than a necessity however.
As a number of other posters have indicated there is no shortage to pass catches on the offense besides Dez in Murray, Witten, Beasley, etc.
Why not? Lol
Who were the Seahawks WRs in the Super Bowl?
I'm not the biggest Crabtree fan, but he sucks? I don't think he sucks, I think the QB throwing to him sucks. Injuries are the biggest problem with Crabtree, not talent.
I'd rather take my chance on Blackmon. Less risk, higher reward.
I agree with the rather take a chance on Justin Blackmon and the higher reward part. However given the suspensions, and the fact that he hasn't applied for or been reinstated at this point, I do not have any idea why you could say there is less risk.
Because he won't cost you anything. JAX is likely to cut him during this off-season and he probably won't get paid more than the veteran minimum which means it would be a free look at a top ten talent.
That part I agree with but don't be so sure about JAX cutting him, shorts is an FA and other than him they have a whole lot of nothing really at WR. And even at vet minimum, you are taking a risk on placing any trust in the fact that he is 1 failed test away from another year ban or worse.
On cost I see your point, but that is about where the low risk stops for me.
I'd rather have Cecil Shorts. Call me crazy, but he compliments our offense better.
