Arkin would be a decent player with some muscle mass gain and more power. That is much easier said than done. The biggest reason for failure when a college lineman goes pro is playing strength IMO. Notice I said playing strength. The bench press numbers from the combine don't mean squat when it comes to playing strength. Frederick and Fluker are very strong power linemen. Several fans didn't want Dallas to draft them because their BP numbers were low. The tape clearly shows the power these guys play with. Arkin has seemed to struggle with gaining playing strength and I doubt he can gain the amount needed. Being a small school project, he was way behind to start with. Some players are not capable of being strong enough. Bad DNA. It was a gamble to draft a guy like Arkin to begin with. This is the year that a final decision will be made IMO. If he hasn't got it by this year, it is a slim chance that he will ever get it. The smart thing for a team to do, is draft linemen that has the power to start with and not gamble on these types.
