Yeah just because he's younger and that 3T is such an important position in our defense, I wouldn't want to wait till the draft and be in a spot where we HAVE to find one. Allen is probably going to be more expensive but may have the most impact immediately but he's older and Melton could me a centerpiece for a while. Only 27.

Last time I heard there was no DE worth picking at that spot til 2nd round and the best one being the guy from Oregon State, unless Barr, or Khalil Mack drop because I don't think Clowney will

IRVING, Texas -- Henry Melton's visit with the Dallas Cowboys has ended and the free-agent defensive tackle is off to visit the St. Louis Rams, according to a source.

From all accounts, Melton's visit went well. According to sources, the medical checkup on his surgically-repaired knee came back fine, and he was able to re-connect with the coach that developed him into a Pro Bowler with the Chicago Bears, defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli.
