I can't answer your question but...

I think he is going to be the odd man out if Glenn is actually able to play. I don't see him making the roster over Hurd, Austin, or Stanback, especially since all of the reports coming from the ranch is that the three are playing well. And we certainly aren't going to keep 7WR.

If Glenn doesn't play he's got a good shot, otherwise its the practice squad or elsewhere for him IMO

Where have you heard about Stanback? I haven't heard squat about him yet.

As far as Amendola...I'm betting he's still a Cowboy come September.

Not only will he make the team, but he'll lead the team in receptions by years end.

15 years from now, we will reflect upon how Amendola revolutionized the wide receiver position.

He's still white. He's still Welker.

Ive actually heard Jerivicious, Matt Jones, and Drew Bennet comparisions.

......not sure why.

Ive also heard Chris Long is just like Aaron Schoebel, Patrick Kearney, and Kyle Vanden Bosch. When hes really like a Strahan, high motor, can play run and pass equally well.

He'll never make it to the pratcice squad (see Matt Moore)

:shoot3:

Pretty bold statement considering he wasn't drafted through seven rounds and has yet to participate in a practice with pads on.

Sounds exactly like Matt Moore then....

I didn't cry over losing Moore and won't over Amendola if he gets signed.
Then again if Amendola makes the roster I'll bet dollars to donuts he has more catches this season then Austin has in his career up til now. Because Amendola may be short and slow but he can run routes, catch the heck out of the ball and will throw his body around.

And there is no telling just how much time he will during the pre-season. Hurd, Miles and Stanback will see plenty of reps and there may not be much left for Danny. In a QB starved league it made sense for the Panthers to pick up Moore. I don't think a wide receiver battling just to make the roster will be as highly sought after if cut.

The Welker/Amendola comparisons come form them being a lot more than white.

Both were short, slot receiver types at Texas Tech. Both returned kicks at Tech. They were roommates and reportedly best friends.

But they are not the exact same player by any means.

Still anyone arguing they are being compared solely because they are white is not paying attention.

But what do I know... all I did was suggest we draft Wes Welker on day 2 out of Tech.

Now that is going out on a limb.

His skin is a little darker than Welker's.

In fact, he's darker than Golden Richards, Billy Parks, Lance Rentzel, Lance Alworth, Mike Montgomery, Mike Renfro and even Butch Johnson.

I think he's still considered white though.
