we will as soon as they get out of court for "gametime behavior".

...can you help AmishCowboy name the Eagles fan who said the Eagles were dominant? I sure hope that AmishCowboy wasn't talking out of the side of his neck (meaning he was being disengenuious and trumping up trouble).

iceberg;1067480 said:look around you - how many people do you see that feel "safe" doing to the eagles stadium? how many feel safe walking back to their cars when it's over? ESP if they dare to wear "colors"? do fans get this irate when they know their team is "mediocre"?
iceberg;1067480 said:as for naming eagles fans - pass. that would require paying attention to what they say. much like i've come to ignore the whining of children, i've come to ignore to boasting of the average eagles fan.
Phoenix-Talon;1067534 said:No wait ...you may have stumbled on to something. If you don;t have any Eagle fan friends you wouldn't know that there are other sides to being one. One thing I can tell you ...whatever happens to my Cowboy friends at any game ...happens to me. Most Eagle fans feel that way regardless of fandom affiliation ...if you've got an Eagles fan for friend he'll have your back!
iceberg;1067561 said:i've met danthemans g-friend online before and she's an eagles fan. between you (2) i know (2) eagles fans that are a "good" representation of the fan base. the rest of my perceptions i get from:
iceberg;1067561 said:now is this a media conspiracy or are the fans that bad?
please see point 1 before trying to answer and then give me examples of any other teams fanbase in any other sport where this ever became necessary.
you're one of the few i respect and i try to return the favor. but i shouldn't have to worry if i have "protection" while i'm at a visiting teams stadium.
Phoenix-Talon;1067579 said:There's many, many more ...appreciate your comments though.
I'm not deflecting from your question, I just wanted to point out that soccer fans in Europe have been rioting and tearing up stadiums in England and in Germany for years. Uncotrollable fans is not exclusive to one fandom, this is a growing concern all over; to include Eagle fans at home games.
That doesn't Make it right, but it does explain that it is something that must be dealt with.
iceberg;1067758 said:i'm sure there are many more - i've just never seen 'em or have happened to been involved in "rational" discussions with them. like i said, i've met (2) so far that seem to know what class is and how to treat people like they'd like to be treated.
the rest are just thugs who think it's cool to hurt people in the name of whatever opens up that option. to call philly "the city of brotherly love" must mean some form of gay incest as i've never seen it shown to anyone outside that city.
i'm sorry your fanbase earned that monikor. in the long run it will be up to you and others like you to work to stop the a-holes from being the a-holes they feel is their God given right to be. When respect for others is shown by a large number of the eagles fanbase, then it can help turn it around. till then sorry - your fans suck.
as for saying we hate the skins fans more - not even close. i know of no other fanbase that even comes close to the total lack of class the eagles fan bases has come to earn.
wileedog;1066394 said:I agree it will be a tough game. Going into Philly is never a picnic, and throw in the TO factor and its the most hostile environment imaginable.
BUt I will say that neither Washington or Tenn blitzed much because they didn't trust their secondary against Glenn, TO and Witten. The Philly secondary at this point is not much better.
While the book is blitz Bledsoe, if the O-line steps up they could pay dearly for it.
Doomsday;1067882 said:I hope Philly does try and blitz Dallas, early and often. The more they leave Owens and Glenn 1 on 1 the better it is for the Cowboys.
Cowboy Junkie;1067935 said:I hope they bring the biltz also ..
I dont worry about this game at all...I think Dallas will win easily.Philly has not looked that great and after week one Dallas has really gotten their Oline together..
The only way Philly wins this is if Dallas lets them keep it close then McNabb or that little oft injured back makes a big play.
Phillies Defense is small and not that great .
I thought they had a very good Oline until I watched Monday night and now not so special..
But with Mcchicken and that little oft injured back they have some big play potenial but if you dont let em stay close then they cant hurt you...
summerisfunner;1066672 said:1st play...
onside kick 'em
summerisfunner;1066263 said:well, you shouldn't be, take away the deep passing game, and they do nothing, take Stallworth out of the game, and it's in the bag

Deep_Freeze;1067948 said:Philly fans are just not as bad as you think, many are judged by a few. They live and die with their team, and have more of a boxing mentality. Kill or be killed.
I'm here to tell you, don't believe the hype, although this weekend, they will be in rare form.
