Any OL gurus in the house?

I've never forgiven this franchise for the Doug Free era ... nearly killed Romo

Garrett should get most of the blame for Free.

In 2012 the Cowboy obtained the best OL coach in the NFL (Bill Callahan). In 2013 Callahan wanted to bench Free and Garrett refused. Callahan eventually appealed directly to Jerry and the result was that for the final 4 games that season, they alternated Free and Parnell each offensive series. Parnell was better than Free despite Parnell only having started 2 games previously.

Eventually Garrett was able to run Callahan out of town. Jerry tried to get Callahan to stay but when his contract was over he bolted for the door.

Don't think Callahan got on too well with Garrett. He wanted out, they made him stay his last year under contract then he bolted out the door. Wasn't a very good assistant head coach - by all accounts, but I think he butted heads with Garrett and envisioned himself as head coach when here.
Great O-line coach, however.
My hope is that Columbo and Houck together will return the O-line to at least what we had with the previous coach - Pollack ?
Alexander may or may not be a good coach, but trying to change up the scheme somewhat was obviously the wrong decision. I just hope they can turn it around before this becomes another waste of a season.
:hammer:
