I think Parcells makes a good point that Julius now trusts the play and understands what he was trying to teach him. He has let go of the instincts that lose play. Now, and Parcells mentioned this, he has to learn to combine his instincts with his discipline. When he does that, he will become an elite back. Right now he is leaving yards on the field. When he puts instinct with the discipline, he will be breaking lose in scary ways.

Go out into the world, young Grasshopper.

A good example of him leaving yards on the field is Julius Jones trying to cut back inside instead of bouncing some of the runs back outside against the Texans. Instead of just having 106 yards he probably would had around 150 yards. Right now he is No.6 in the league in rushing and could easily be first. At No.1, Tiki Barber is only 39 yards ahead of him. A couple more carries a game might not hurt either.

I noticed that too - he has taken Parcells' coaching to heart, but instinctively should have gotten back outside. Now people will say oh, but Parcells doesn't want that to happen, he's ruined. Rubbish - He just needs to get his instinct back into the mix and combine the two.

Well, 3rd anyway. Barber leads the league and he's had his bye. Dunn's also post-bye and ahead of JJ.

Now if the Cowboys can hold Tiki down this week...

JJ will catch and Surpass Tiki this week.

JJ probably is unconsiously remembering last year when he did not get out of bounds and got chewed out about it. SO he is going inside.
HAVE to laugh at the trust the O line bit- untill this year what reason did he have to trust his O line?

yah but is it enough for him to warrant a bigger contract when his time is up...it will be interesting

Well, I think BP/Jones would like to know exactly what he has in Barber by the time JJ's contract is ready to come up. He really wants to know now but can't justify taking that many carries away from Julius. I think with our current situation JJ will be one of the hardest guys to resign when his contract is up.

Thats just my impression, not sure if it is accurate or not but he just acts like he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder from the past 2 years.

I think it is the way he feels about Romo too, but you just can't do the same with a QB because of perception.

This is a major product of 7 men in the box.
I wonder if TO is having an effect?
