Where in Jersey? I grew up in South River (middlesex county) and now I live in Bradley Beach (monmouth).

Touchdowns can be scored from offense, defense, or special teams. Your "#1 defense" is scoring defense. This stat doesnt say who gave up the TD nor does it show where the opposing team took control of the ball. When looking at how good your defense really is yards/per game and yards per play (avg) would be best to look at.

I'd say what's on the scoreboard would be what's best to look at, you know, the part that says whether you won the game or not. Therefore, scoring defense trumps your yards per game.

Hey, you know what kind of car Jim Tressell owns?

A Lloyd Carr.

Ohio St. wont put 40 up against a Michigan defense. Michigan however might just put up 30 on that defense who loss 9 starters from last year.

EDIT: Michigan 27 Ohio St. 20

Go Blue!!! I am going to be a nervous wreck by 3:00 on Saturday
Just heard an interview with Schembechler today on the radio and he was priceless. They asked him when he prepared for OSU when he was coaching and he barked "EVERYDAY" That is what college football is all about

I am one of the Dallas/Michigan fans and I dont know about the rest of you guys but I am losing sleep this week over this upcoming weekend.

Not only do I gotta watch my #2 team in the nation go against our biggest rival who is #1 I gotta watch Dallas play 9-0 Indy.

Pretty similar matchup through my eyes. OSU and Indy like to put up these huge numbers and score 40 points. Too bad for the fans games are won by defense and thats exactly what Michigan and Dallas does.

Gonna be a great football weekend whether you are a fan of any of the 4 teams above. I see both games going down to wire with Dallas and Michigan coming out on top by 3-7 points each :laugh2:

I think we have a good chance. Games are won and lost in the trenches and we have better lines.

I pray that Dallas and Michigan don't lose such big games in the same weekend. Don't think I could take it.

If Michigan has a healthy Mario Manningham, I think they are the better team. Their defense is STOUT

Michigan fan here...
this is going to be a great game I think.
Both teams are really balanced on offense and both have great defenses.
I think Michigan has a slight advantage on the defense but OSU probably has an edge in speed...(Ted Ginn)

I think this will probably be an ESPN classic game a week from now and will probably be one of those games where about 90% of the starters on the field for both teams on both sides of the ball will play in the NFL.
There are a lot of players I'd love Dallas to get:
Manningham, Ted Ginn, Woodley, Hall, Jake Long....
