Was wondering you alls thoughts on the game last night and seeing if anyone is panicking.

Last night was supposed to be the dress rehearsal where our starters play a half of football. With obvious O-Line injuries and troubles we decided to hold some of the starters out of the line. That being said it was common sense not to put your starting QB on the field. And Elliot has looked amazing in practice so no chance going to be take there.

IMO Rush hasn’t taken the next step. He actually looked worse than I remembered. White may have out played him.

I watched the game but didn’t watch the line like some of you do. I was mostly drinking and sitting there with my mouth open at all the turn overs. Our Offense looked poor. Now it’s to be taken with a grain of salt. We have 2nd and 3rd stringers in against the cards starting line up. But what a drop off at the next level.

ST had some pretty sloppy play. Jones not paying attention runs into Lenoir. Not Lenoirs fault in that one. But the next one he should have never fielded. Poor kid has worked his butt off to make a chance to make the team. After that second fumble you could see the look on his face. Thought he was gonna cry. They need work on the return game.

Offense got nothing going other than a few starts to decent drives that we’re ended by turnovers. Rush threw another pick in the end zone. RB fumbles trying the old Elliot hurdle move. Looney made a mistake but also made some good plays.

Nothing really from our WR that stood out. Beez looks really good. Rush misses a wide open TD. That’s gonna be nice plays waiting to happen this year.

Chaz has likely played his last game for us. He just isn’t improving at all. No matter where he is put.

Rico didn’t run with the 1s so not sure what’s up there. With us not using our starters on the line I assumed it would have been a good chance to put him in there against another teams 1s. If he missed assignments it wouldn’t have been worse than what we were seeing anyways. Lol

Defense... All I can say is wow. They looked great. What a change from years past. We are going to have constant pressure on qbs this year. Gregory has made the jump for sure. Even the commentators were commenting on how much trouble he was giving them.

Our secondary is getting more confident and was in full display. I loved seeing Richard lose his mind on the sidelines. And after he did. They responded on the field. Another safety went down but appears to be ok.

LB look fast. Jaylon was everywhere and there in a hurry. Thomas looks good. Lillard I like, he hits hard.

Going to be interesting this year. If the Offense can hold it together and ST can be at least serviceable. Our Defense will be a strength and that piece needed to taking us next level. Of course the year the Defense puts it together our Offense is the question mark.

Your thoughts?

None.

Offense couldn't move with a duct-tape offensive line. They just wanted to get it over with. Cooper just had to wing it as quickly as possible before he got killed.

Defense looked stellar, although that means little in preseason.

The mistakes made were from nobodies and backups.

None for me. Sure would love to add a FS but overall like what I am seeing out of the defense and think this defense will play big this year. Offense, 1st 2 pre season games Dak moved the team down the field and put up points put Zeke into the mix I think this offense will be fine. I do think that Cowboys will look to bring in a vet QB, I think White has a chance at PS but I don't think either QB is ready to step in at a moments notice like a vet QB, right now these 2 guys just look over whelmed

Losing Frederick was the worst thing that could have happened to the line. Looney is a monster drop off. He will not hold up. Not based on last night. Defense looking very good, but safety is a huge concern. Probably the worst safeties in the NFL. Can we hide them?

Not for me. I fully realize we are in the middle of a rebuild and don't expect all that much this season. If we panic again(like the Cassell trade) we're just dumb. Let this play out, then fix the weaknesses.

No panic. Concern? Yes but the pretend season wasn't going to address that. I don't care if they were 3-0 and looked good, that does not mean anything.

The question is can this be a flip the switch team once it gets real? I have doubts about that.

The NFL has to be getting more and more embarassed by the NFL preseason product.

Ratings have dropped dramatically because fans are bored to tears by it. The games are getting worse by the season.

Coaches don't want to play them. Players don't want to play them. Fans don't want to watch them.

They need to go to one game only or do away with preseason altogether.

Imagine if Week 1, most every star player was playing. That would be good for the product.

What they should do is go to rookie/borderline player games for evaluation purposes. IMO, the NFL made a huge mistake when they started charging reg season prices for preseason games. Start earlier and have about 6 or 7 youngster games, charge 1/4 regular price.

ones not enough as the NFL doesnt let you hit much in practice with the dumb rules they created, so id say two games to evaluate young talent at full speed against other players who are trying to tackle or get by you..theyve already proposed an 18 game schedule with 2 preseason games they need to figure out how to expand rosters and a lot of things never been done before..once you expand rosters then that changes the Cap etc..theres a lot to do and I bet behind the scenes they are working on implementing this soon..

Don't you love these 8 plus year rebuilds?
Yea when Garrett arrived we were told he had to rebuild the team. Got one playoff win out of that. And then slowly they got rid of Romo, Witten, D-Ware ,Dez and all the others while claiming they were still rebuilding. And now we have one of the youngest teams again. Well we had a young team 8 years ago and nothing came of it.
