Any panic yet?

I was actually pretty excited. We already know what the starting offense can do. The big difference being Fredrick is out but Looney looked pretty good pulling on that sweep. And the defense could be the best we've had in a long time.

panic?
no.
now...if we loose some major 1st teamers...different story.
but I like the 1's on both sides...especially on defense.

I still see this as a playoff team.
If our Offense can produce then yeah. Liked seeing our Defense hold a team to 3 points. Didn’t like seeing our Offense and ST giving up 20 something points.

Jerry will let you know when to panic.

2-5 at the bye and Garret on the hot seat...

Very impressed with Defense.

The offense was atrocious last night. No question about it. But we were without Zeke, Smith, Martin, and Dak. I liked what I saw in the first 2 preseason games.

Yea when Garrett arrived we were told he had to rebuild the team. Got one playoff win out of that. And then slowly they got rid of Romo, Witten, D-Ware ,Dez and all the others while claiming they were still rebuilding. And now we have one of the youngest teams again. Well we had a young team 8 years ago and nothing came of it.
Was sad seeing players like Ware and Romo and Witten not getting a ring with us. Wasted talent.

No panic. Dak, Zeke and Martin will make things look a lot better on offense.

How can anyone not see how much better the "d" appears with no Lee.

If Dallas key guys remain reasonably healthy, I think they win 10.

Yep. Looks like Looney will be able to hold it down ok till Fredbeard gets back..and I don’t think he will be out long. I think it was caught early and he says he is already feeling good.

10 easy. If the Offense can hold there own we will make 12-14 wins. It’s ST that is concerning.

The defense looks legit. That's the one thing I have been impressed with.

Some concern, mainly with back-ups. Looks like cowboys dont have substance on the bench. Should any 1st teams members go down, it would be time to worry. Luckily, its always incremental and not all at once.

Last night was bad night, period. Bad luck singing its best song. In hindsight, cowboys made fluke mistakes and it cost them. If your a football fan looking outside in, Confirmation bias has cowboys somewhere at 7-9 or 6-10. It happens, but its just Bias. THey will regress to the means. I still see them winning double digit games. But that's me.

Player Concerns:
We hope Garrett does the right thing and sends Chaz to the Deli dept. WHite looks sharper than Rush. The player that Nerf-ed those punts, return position is not a forte for him.

Not in panic mode.
Defense looks very good.
Offense without Zeke in the 1st 2 games moved the ball well most of the time.

Concerned, yes, about the health of the OL. Hopefully they are all back for game 1 and Lonney is good to go also, until Travis returns.
But any injuries, even with Dak and Zeke in there, we may see part of what we seen last night. Maybe not as dire, but it will not be good either.

This is where Dak will need to step up and show us he can carry the team in the passing game, as a few WR need to emerge as well.
Zeke will be Zeke and can help carry the offense, but others need to do their part as well.

Hopefully all are healthy by game one, and we get good, great news on Travis that he will make a full recovery by mid season, if not before.
Fredrick is gonna be fine. Caught it early and he says he is already feeling a lot better. I am thinking weeks rather than months. Dak will step up and Elliot will be a monster this year. No looming suspension over his head. We have gotten a wake up call and lucky with the O-Line. We will likely get some descent depth at O-Line when cuts are made. We are lucky none of these injuries were worse than what they are.

Most reports of those who have covered camp and even Collingsworth who attended the open practice have commented on how great Zeke is looking out there. I think this offense will look a lot different than what we have been seeing in pre season.

None for me. Sure would love to add a FS but overall like what I am seeing out of the defense and think this defense will play big this year. Offense, 1st 2 pre season games Dak moved the team down the field and put up points put Zeke into the mix I think this offense will be fine. I do think that Cowboys will look to bring in a vet QB, I think White has a chance at PS but I don't think either QB is ready to step in at a moments notice like a vet QB, right now these 2 guys just look over whelmed
White has a chance to be real good once he catches up to the speed of the game. Arm talent is there. I wouldn’t expose him to waivers. A team like NE/Ind would swoop him up and let him sit

ones not enough as the NFL doesnt let you hit much in practice with the dumb rules they created, so id say two games to evaluate young talent at full speed against other players who are trying to tackle or get by you..theyve already proposed an 18 game schedule with 2 preseason games they need to figure out how to expand rosters and a lot of things never been done before..once you expand rosters then that changes the Cap etc..theres a lot to do and I bet behind the scenes they are working on implementing this soon..

Yeah, I’d guess they’re working on the most profitable formula right now—converting at least 2 low rated preseason games into regular season game$. Then they raise the roster numbers and cap numbers to accommodate all the profiteers. The American way!
