Is there any possibility that Sean Lee can return this season? Say by week 8 or so?

Some have speculated that maybe its possible for the last few weeks of the season, maybe, but no way by week 8.

Shut him down for this year, find a replacement for him and move on. I love him as a player, but you got to play to be a player. Bottom line I would love to say a "Sean Lee started off rocky, but the last 8-10 years of his career he played all 16 (19) games."

When healthy he is the best football player on this time. Only Tyron & Dez really compare. It's a tragedy a potential HOF career has been derailed by injuries.

Even if he could come back for the last few games, how much of an impact could he possibly have with all that rust? And would it be worth holding a valuable roster spot all season just to have him for those few games?

Let him get to 110% health for 2015. I say 110% because apparently he's had a partial tear in that knee since college. Maybe now that knee will be stronger than ever after he fully recovers.

I couldn't agree more. Sometimes the body just can't do what the mind commands. I would love to see him go into coaching. I don't know why, but I can see him being a Dick LeBeau type. He just seems like he loves the game just for the game's sake.

There is no chance he's back by week 8. That's not nearly long enough for an ACL tear.

Maybe by the last few games but to me it's simply not worth it. He won't be in any kind of football shape to be any sort of factor so it's best to shut him down for the year and hope he plays next year.

Besides that it would mean wasting a spot to hold him all year hoping he might play only to have him really not contribute. It's simply not worth it.

December would be 6 months recovery time by my count....that seems crazy to me. Why?

Couldn't you put him on IR with the designated to return tag and not worry about that roster spot?

While it might not be super-realistic, a return after, maybe the Thanksgiving game, wouldn't be impossible I don't think. That would be almost 7 months...who knows.

I think they said he could be ready by February. He's done for the season.

I'd personally wait to see who else is potentially injured. Lee has a severe injury so if another goes down that has a real chance to return I wouldn't waste it on Lee who does have a real chance to come back.

Fair enough. I guess you could put Lee on PUP and then make a decision in week 6 or w/e.

A little deer antler spray should have him good to go

That's what I would do. See how progress is and how the team is playing to see if it's worth it to hold a spot for him.
