I'd be willing to throw a 3rd or 4th to a team that is struggling for a vet in his contract year or with 1 year left on deal. Do you guys know of any players out there that we could possibly go after and a team that wants to stock up on picks?

Ok, guess this will be a joke thread.. I was hoping I would get some real insight on what players may be put on the block that are playing on losing teams

I wish there was an easy trade to make-- but teams aren't parting with premium pass rushers, so anyone we would acquire would more than likely not be able to push DLaw or Crawford for starting time anyway.

If DLaw returns to form -- our DL is actually in much better shape than what we had in 2014 when we were starting guys like Selvie and Hayden. I imagine the coaches want to see what we have now that Tank is back.

Although we don't have an All Pro at any position-- we have some depth at DT and solid rotational guys at DE. I'm not saying we're going to lead the league in sacks, but I think we could get some serviceable pressure from the DL.

Teams are going to want a player.

So the answer is NO.

We have nobody that backups that isn't being used.

Leary is still on the team. I think they were shopping him, right?

Most of the players we'd consider parting with wouldn't get us anyone worthy of considering, much less someone of real value. Escobar and/or McFadden come quickly to mind. Also, as far as trading for a d-line player utilizing one of our valuable draft picks, I'd much prefer to wait for the draft to acquire a promising youngster with an entire career ahead of him.

Let's wait and see what Lawrence does for us first before committing ourselves to something or someone we might possibly regret parting with. We also have some youngsters in house who might become pleasant surprises, given time to develop. It's not exactly like we have strong Super Bowl possibilities this year anyhow.

All kidding aside. Pass rushers are second only to qb's in need by teams. Very little chance you could get a quality pass rusher in a trade and certainly not for a mid round pick. They are just too valuable

I'm not trading any draft picks. I will consider trading McFadden, Hanna, and Escobar.

We don't really have anyone to trade now that any possible Leary deal is off the trade. Our best possible additions are the recently signed Ryan Davis, D-Law coming back this week, and any hope that Tapper or Gregory make a return. That's about all we can ask for right now.

The Dolphins have Cameron Wake near the end of his deal and he's in his 30's. I wish Miami needed a TE.
big money though.

"Cameron Wake signed a 2 year, $15,000,000 contract with the Miami Dolphins, including $10,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $7,500,000. In 2016, Wake will earn a base salary of $7,000,000 and a workout bonus of $125,000. Wake has a cap hit of $8,525,000 while his dead money value is $11,525,000."
