Any updates on Roy Williams the FA Safety?

Again, it just underscores how rapid his decline was. And really, I still don't get why it happened.

Four years ago, he looked like he was destined to be a Ring of Honor type; maybe even easily our best safety ever.

Three years ago, he looked like he had an off-year.

Two years ago, he looked vastly overrated.

Last year, completely irrelevant, even when healthy.

If its steadily happening over the course of four years, I dont know if you can call that shocking or sudden. 4 years is an eternity in the NFL. There are a lot more spread sets in the NFL. When Roy came into the league there was really only few athletic freaks at TE, like Tony Gozales. Grunts like Wesley Walls and Chad Lewis were going to Pro Bowls. Four years later almost every team had a TE who could run a 4.6 or better. There is just no place to hide a safety who cant cover now.
