I lived in Dallas for 30 years - I meet a guy that went to the same college as Cliff Harris - so I became a Arkansas fan - really before that - I remember watching Jerry an Jimmy win the national championship - so I been a Ark fan a long time

I always love little old Ark playing in SEC coming down to Texas to play all the schools in Texas

I think I been to all the schools in Texas watching ARK

it won't bother me when I know the real champ this year is TCU

I heard Mack is afraid to even put them on their schedule :D

plus I love the fact ARK went to the SEC

Texas went to lowly Big 12 - how can you not win that every year
Big 12 is a cake walk for UT

when the national title is held up, we will know who the superior conference is.

nobody wants to play tcu or boise because the coaches know that there is no advantage in doing so because a win against those teams doesnt usually count as much as other good teams and a loss means you lost to what the bcs considers a weaker team when we all know that they both could beat top teams in the country at any time.

why would you want to play a top 5 team that isnt considered a top 5 team?

They easily beat a similar TCU team a couple years ago I believe. And what I say about Jaxon is just based on what people are saying..not production, Jordan is the #1 all-time receiver in Texas in that regard.

It was not an easy win for Texas back in 2007. TCU had a 10-0 lead at half time and the Longhorns offense was lost. Texas was able to come out in the second half and put up some points ending the game at 34-13. The final score makes it seem as if it was an easy victory, but it was a struggle.

TCU has a much better offense this season than they did back in 2007, but their defense is at the same level as it was back then. TCU beat OU in 2006. I don't know if they are deserving of a shot at the title, but they are a handful. I would not take them lightly.

Dallas will be able to draft Jordan Shipley in the 4th round. I just don't see him going higher than that. My first thought was 5th round, but he has probably crept up some.

The only way he falls to the 4th is if goes to the combine and is a lot smaller and slower than advertised, which I doubt.

I like the kid, but from what I see of the NFL and the types of wide receivers they draft in the first 3 rounds he isn't one of them.

The only way I take a WR in first 3 rounds is if you are shipping Crayton out of town.

Yeah, the NFL hates 6'0" 195 receivers with 4.4 speed, great acceleration and YAC ability, top notch hands, body control, and elite route running.

He is not 6'-0" tall and does not weigh 195 lbs. If he was then I think he would go sooner than the 4th round.

We've got a good thing going with our top 3 WR's.

Develop Ogletree and bring in the next 1-2 guys low in the draft or UDFA to develop.

That is, unless you trade Crayton to Miami for a 4.

He was referring to Arkansas backing out of their scheduled game this season with Texas. Arkansas got the opportunity to start the series against A&M that was played at Cowboys Stadium. Because of that they decided to put off their home and home series against Texas for a couple of years. Texas ended up replacing the Arkansas game with the game against Wyoming this year.

I have looked it up. You don't really believe he is the size listed do you? Texas has a history of over stating the size of its players. Roy Williams was always listed as being 6'-5" while playing for the Longhorns. He is really 6'-3". Shipley does not look 6'-0" to me. He is not 5'-7" or anything like that, but he is not 6'-0".

Which translates to 5'10 1/2 185 usually when they get to combine.
