Feeling really down about the future of this franchise for some reason. Seeing all of these NFC teams making moves while we're still struggling to get under the cap by restructuring nearly every big contract and therefore pushing guaranteed money into future years is depressing.

Also some rumors Ed Reed might sign with the Niners. Why are we being left in the dust by our once mortal enemy?

There is already a pessimism thread...no need for another.

Man the offseason stinks.

It'll probably get worse when Jerry signs Spenser to a hefty long term deal then we find out he's a below average DE in the new scheme.

mondays depress me its monday this team sucks, they dont sign all the players they dont sign the players i want, they dont spend lots of money, i hate this team, they cant win every game, i want a better qb, WR, RB, any position, our cheerleaders suck, our coaches suck, our fans suck, the field sucks, this team wont sign a second string player to a hundred million gatrillion dollars, why cant we do anything right, the eagles do everytying right, look at them, they are going to be awesome this season. I want to win every game, no one likes my threads.

Any chance it's making you want to quit being a fan?:bounce:
nope. i'm still young. i'll outlive jerry.

No reason to be depressed. It's not your money. Jerry is the one that should be. If I paid all this money he has and went 8-8 with division clinchers lost in the final game I would shoot myself!

Ill never go into a season expecting better than 8-8. But still love football.

Well, Jerry is smiling because his mediocre team is still worth a couple billion and shooting himself would mean someone else would be enjoying his gig, so he wouldnt do that.

Win or lose Jerry gets the spotlight so he is happy. 8-8 is a mere nuisance for Jerry.

Yes, I know what you mean! But isn't that thought depressing?! I don't believe a word that Jerry or his son says anymore. When he claimed that the cap was ok a few weeks ago he was LYING to the fanbase.

That's true, but I still believe he wants to win. He's an expert at making money, even pre cowboys, but he's bound and determined to do it his way.

Can't see any reason to be. We kept our two "biggest" free agents, Ladouceur and Spencer, heading into free agency.

Who knows what's going to happen from here.

It's all about drafting , coaching and managing the cap.

I would say the 49's are better than us at all 3 right now :(

Um, what "moves?" The Giants signing a 32 year old Jenkins? The Commanders cutting their best corner? The Eagles likely cut of Nnamdi? Seriously, what are you talking about?
San Fran, Seattle, the Eagles have LOTS of cap room. Skins will have their two best defensive players back next year while we reshuffle our line. Giants have said they are going to invest in the trenches.
