Anybody else not upset or enthused by this signing? The FO waits till a day before franchise tag deadline to finalize a deal that seems like a foregone conclusion. Like the deal was agreed upon beforehand and announced on a Monday to take advantage of a full week of media frenzy?

To me, it's as though someone paid full retail on a heating and cooling ac unit for an older home with poor insulation all around and large windows facing the south and west. Just a bag of meh that will keep the biz running and making bucks.

There are worse things than winning a crappy division and never making it past the second round of the playoffs. The Cowboys don't market the team with that statement though. Cheers guys, we are going to thrash the bottom third of the league!

I think the Colts are looking for your type

I suspected all along that Jerry would pay him. Would I rather have a cheap QB who is just as good, or better? Of course, who wouldn't?

That said, there's no guarantee Booger & Son would pick one. History suggests they'd be more likely to screw it up. Either way, it's done.

You seem to be trying your hardest to find something to be upset about. No matter what happens, your angle is always looking for the downside.

Kind of sounds like you are indeed upset and not enthused at this signing.

Oh, I definitely was and still am of the opinion that the team should blow the core up and start over. I can't control what the team does, so I can't really get upset by their mistakes.

When the team does not perform all that well and just goes sideways, I just pay attention less. If you are enthused by this signing, then why?

Absolutely.

When Jerry picks his guy, you get Quincy Carter. Or Paxton Lynch.

True. It's done and for me the cycle continues. I'm ready for the cycle to end in travesty or victory. Travesty can't be sold like staying in the race though.

I've started to adopt that the past couple of seasons and I will also stop giving them as much time.

I'm not going to watch a team destined for mediocrity on Sundays who plays sloppy and invents ways to lose.

They can be happy with their division winning season and wild card appearance. They are selling us relevancy and im not buying. Ya'll can but I'm here for chasing trophies and not being the fighting Prescott's like we became with Romo. Screw that.

I mean have you ever been? When's the last time you were enthused by this organization?

Mid nineties. I was pretty enthused during the playoff runs of 07, 14, and 16. My blood was going pretty good, lol.
