Anybody else still wishing we would have taken a RB in 3rd round?

I think you may have brought your own biases into your analysis. Randle looked hesitant and easy to bring down. And he did not magically gain speed since joining DAL. He may be quick but he isn't fast.

Nope. I just study the film. Most people don't.

I was not a fan of Randle his first season as a player and I'm definitely not a fan of his personality/character. There is no reason for me to be biased in his favor.

Many people noticed he looked quicker in his 2nd season than he did in his 1st season.

In my analysis, I said he is not fast like McFadden.

Murray runs a 4.4 and is slow and Randle runs a 4.53 and is now fast. It must be my lying eyes.

Which one had the long TD runs last year?

*sigh* how many more times do people have to repeat that he was a change of pace back with fresh legs that took off against worn down defenses from running Murray into the ground?

I swear, this is so very familiar to discussions people had back in 09 about Felix Jones. Randle is simply not an NFL starting RB. He's a 6'0 stick figure that is average to below average in every category that makes great RBs great.

How many more times do people have to prop up these average RBs before they get the hint? First it was Barber, then it was Jones, then people were screaming for Choice, now it's Randle with some even thinking Williams was the answer.

I've been hearing for a few years that Marinelli doesn't need 1Ts or SLB in his defense and that is why Wilber and Hayden are still starters.

Now we have the same situation at RB since the OL has been declared All World.

It's an issue of speed, of who has it and who doesn't. Murray has obviously shown he no longer has it. Fresh legs is flat out a stupid argument.

LOL Randle has always been a change of pace back since coming into the league. What he's not is a lead back. It was obviously evident that Randle is not made to be the lead back from the Giants game.

Coleman is a much more talented back than Randle. He is faster, stronger and looks more ready to be a workhorse for Atlanta. I wish we would have taken him. He would fit our system pretty well. He's like Murray with speed.

Probably would have cost our 3rd, 5th and 7th to move from 91 to 73 or CGreen, Russell and Nzeocha

Seattle also had just traded its 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Rd picks to move up and take Lockett. While not a perfect comparison, its close enough to give a general reference point.

Going by the chart 73 is worth 225 pts. Every pick Dallas had left was worth 211. Thats not even taking in to account they probably have to go above Atlanta to get him which is even more lopsided in the Cowboys favor with your proposed trade. It would have taken the rest of the draft picks and every fan on this forum is killing them for it if that happens.
