I would still like to have hatcher. hatcher and Crawford would be a great tackle combo. melton is starting to play well but he does not stay on the field long enough. maybe as the season goes along he will be able to play more snaps.

Its a team game. No one player is more important than a total team package.

Letting both go was the right call!

Yes, because they are still better than the others we have on the line. However, we wouldn't have this line if we'd kept Ware and Hatcher, so I agree that it was the right call.

Don't miss them at all. I love all of these cast offs and under the radar guys we have.

I miss the player that Ware was. I don't miss the player that Ware likely is. And I wouldn't have ever wanted to give Hatcher an equivalent deal to what Washington gave him. Give smart contracts.

It was time to move on. Jerrah finally made the right move doing so.

Anyone actually paying attention would tell you that the Cowboys wouldn't miss Ware that much. His last year and a half in a Cowboys uniform were very average.

But the national media got hysterical about it just because they saw the big name. So they acted as if we were losing a 15 sack a year guy.

Well to Hatcher and Ware's credit they were hurt last year especially twoards the end of the year. I was for letting them guy because I believe both were a part of a mediocre culture here that needed to change. But if they take pay cuts? No one can tell me Ware in a more reserved role like our DE's are wouldn't be better than what we have. Same goes for Hatcher. We would've been even deeper.

The problem is that Melton and Crawford play the same position (3-tech). They don't want to take Crawford off the field.

Now that we are winning after off season moves like this, perhaps this will reinforce to Jerry that letting go of the aging overpriced players is the right thing to do.

I never missed them.

I knew something was different (in a good way) with the Cowboys management when they cut Ware. It made perfect football sense, but in the past they would have hung on to him.
