I was slow to warm up to Houston. I think he's a gamer if he's playing in our type of offense.

Then again, no one really stands out.

I personally like Fehoko's speed on the outside, and his route running wasn't so bad in college.

And I like Tolbert more as a slot guy, but he's a versatile enough player to play outside as well.

With Turpin, just the physics involved with a 155 lb player going against NFL sized players makes me nervous about ball security, but I can't say it's a problem because I haven't seen that. I would look for it though. He's an intriguing player though. He could flop. Or he could also bring a tremendous upside.

It seems like Noah Brown has been in Dallas forever, but he's only 26. So he's still very young. And it's possible he could turn his career around and step his game up to the next level. Lacks speed, but makes up for it with his body position and size. Has some strength, too.

Gallup is my favorite WR. And hopefully, he'll be back sooner rather than later. Once he gets back, it boils down to which one of these other guys could be the 3rd option.
Hope some of the young receivers step up.
This is a golden opportunity for them.

H-m-m, it's likely Washington will be cut and Houston might make the roster. No doubt that there's to be a numbers game, though! :omg:

I rather they cut Washington. Wasn't fond of the signing and he hasn't shown much from the bench. Houston deserves to be on this team for sure.

Sorry. Just edited my post! He will fill in that 4-5 spot. That’s why I don’t see Washington making the squad

Yep, a player with that name doesn't belong here.... now Houston is a lot closer, and at least in Texas. Good list, I'll buy that for a dollar.

I think thus far based on all reports that Houston has had a great camp. Runs precise routs and good hands, yes I would expect he has done a lot to earn the job.

Would love to see more of Houston in live game action ..vs what i'm hearing in practice.
We've had practice stars and training camp stand outs before, but it became a different, more difficult matter when the bright lights come on.

But let's face it, we have to have much better QB play before we can see what some of these unheralded young guys can do.
Rush and Nooch ? i cannot believe i'm having to place so much hope and stock on seeing a limited backup like Wil Grier returning back.

1 Lamb
2 Gallup
3 Tolbert
4 Brown
5 Turpin
6 Fehoko

Unless Turpin buckles as a specialist, and there's an unfortunate injury, i'm not seeing us keeping seven WRs on the 53 roster.
i dunno if we've kept as many as 7 WRs.
Could Houston change the roster spots dynamics ?

Note: there's been no mention of Vashar if you notice.

I've been on the fence when it comes to him but he has done nothing but play well and deserves to be on the team. If you had to hazard a guess at his potential, I think his ceiling is probably at Cedrick Wilson type.

They seem to change these rules every year, but if another team wants Houston if Dallas exposes him before trying to add him to the PS, that team has to keep him on the 53....I think....but I don't believe you can just take a player off someone else's PS and put them on your own. They also added some protection rights, but that may have been just a 2020 thing.

Maybe someone who knows the rules a little better can help.....

Anyway, adding a WR to your 53 after him having no reps in their offense all offseason? Not sure that's a great move for anyone.....especially since many teams have their own players that they hope to sneak through waivers.

Wouldnt worry about losing this player. He should make it to the PS.
