Bill will not make a decision until after the Houston game and maybe until after the last preseason game. Because contrary to popular belief, Henson is not as bad as you think. Yes, he does not look as comfortable as Romo yet but he has put the team in position to score more than any of the Qb's inclucing Bledsoe. If it were not for the drop passes in his last drive it could have been a TD drive. Do not get me wrong, in my opinion neither he or Romo look that great but I believe DH is doing more with less time. If the light comes on (if)...we could have something special.

I agree. Alex Smith hasn't looked that great in preseason either and he was never out of the game as long as Henson.

I agree that Henson has done a lot better than most people give him credit for but I think Bill already has his mind made up. I believe Romo will be second string with Henson third. (Edit: I did think just as you do until Bill made Henson take a knee before halftime. If he were truely interested in what Henson could do he would of been aloud to run the 2-minute offense.) I do feel Henson has a much brighter future than Romo.

Ive said this before but it really doesnt matter if Henson is 2nd or 3rd, neither him or Romo will get any signifigant playing time in real games as long as Parcells is here.

If Bledose went down with injury, I bet Vinny would get a phone call.

Wait a second he has put us in a position to score more than Romo and Bledsoe? He also helps out the other team more than Bledsoe and Romo or was that my imagination he threw an INT? Henson is done for He'll make the team due to the investment in him but he won't be #2 and I wouldn't be surprised if we try and move him to another team this season or next offseason...

True Henson made a bad throw on the interception but I don't think it was my imagination that both Bledsoe and Romo made throws that should of been intercepted. Just because the Hawks actually caught Hensons mistake doesn't make it a whole lot worse than the mistakes the other two made. Romo's mistake was really bad.

The fork was put in Henson last year. We're just going through the motions now. He has no future on this team. The only reason he was kept because we were already revamping the top stop, couldn't honestly switch 2 of the 3 quarterbacks out in one offseason.

And as far as Romo is concerned...one of two things is either happening here. He's actually getting a feel for it and with the competition with Henson, stepping up to the plate, so to say. OR...Henson is that bad, he's making Romo look like a viable #2 option.

I've said it once I'll say it again.. our next real quarterback hasnt' even taken his first snap in the NFL yet. And with Parcells reluctance to draft someone young at the posistion, god only knows what draftclass he is going to be part of.

I agree that all the qb's made bad throws but being intercepted and should have been are big differences. That's like I almost got that babes phone number and getting it. BIG difference IMO

Do you have an extra pair of HOMER GOGGLES that I could borrow? :D So do you discount the throw by Romo to the middle of the field where no Cowboy could be found that reminded me of a wounded duck and that nearly got intercepted, only to be dropped?

At least Henson's INT had Witten in the same vacinity.

OK people let me clarify my position.....

I don't think Henson is the answer heck I don't think he even knows the question.

Do I think Romo is the answer? To be honest I haven't really paid any attention to him since he's been here until the game the other night. He looked more comfortable back there than did Henson. He made mistakes glaring mistakes but he didn't look like a deer caught in headlights like Henson did (to me that is maybe you saw something I didn't)

Bledsoe hasn't really lit it up and made some mistakes but I liked the heart he showed trying to run for the first down Stupid but heart with that dive. That spoke volumes to me he wants to win and looks willing to sacrifice for it....

So in closing I don't think any of them have shown much but Bledsoe is and should be the starter and Romo will be the back up he just looks more settled to me back there....

The "consequences" are different, but the decision making, quality of throw, etc. is just as bad on the one hand as it is on the other.

I really can't agree with this. When your evaluation players, you don't grade them higher because the mistake didn't cost you. You grade them on mistakes. For example, if a RB coughs up the ball and your RG recovers it, it's still a fumble. When a QB throws a strike and the WR drops it, it's not counted against the QB. No difference at all IMO.

I would agree that he has yet to determine the backup job and said as much last week when he said the QB competition could be extended past his initial deadline he had set.

Henson or Romo, if they switched jerseys no one would be able to tell them apart. They both stink right now, and I don't feel comfortable at this point with either one of them being the #2. I WILL guarantee you, though, that Henson will have a more successful NFL career than Romo will. Never understood the fascination with Romo. I guess football fans LOVE underdogs.
