no, i don’t. i expect a close, boring, low scoring game won by the team that makes fewer mistakes. i don’t have a clue which team that will be.

I’ll be happy with a 1 point win.
The only possibility of a beat down is if we stone them in the run game and force Jones to beat us from the pocket, the exact game plan we should have had last week.

Dear fellow zoners----any one here think we will work out wrinkles and get back to our "beatdown" ways?......i dont care if beli-cheat is super coach

this will be far different cowboys team then we trotted out last week?????.....just checking temp of room???...what ya'll think???
I think so, but it has nothing to do w/ working out wrinkles. The Pats are not very good and Mac Jones is a backup type.

It'll be a very close game. Pats lost by 1 score each to Philly and Miami, and in each case had the ball in the last minute in/near the red zone. And these were games where they had 3 OL out.

Last week the OL returned, and they ran for 160 yards and gave up 0 sacks vs a Jets D that's comparable to the Cowboys. It was in a monsoon against a weak Jets offense so their game plan was to take care of the ball and let the defense win.

NE's defense is for real - veteran, deep, strong on all 3 levels, can pressure, and feature a star rookie CB. Their offense lacks deep weapons but has many decent midrange weapons, most of whom are new to the team this year. Mac Jones hasn't played his best, but with his line back and getting acclimated to his new receivers and new OC, he's due. I expect a very strong performance by the Pats this weekend.

This is how Mac Jones has played from the very beginning of his career. This is his best. He is Landry Jones Part Deux.

Cowboys will kill poor Mac. Cowboys 27 Pats 10.

sometimes this needs to be said and especially to people I think know better , they try to minimize how big those losses really were to make losses greater than they really were.

dude it was more than a few cogs. three offensive linemen, all pro bowlers at the same time gone.... Tyler smith comes in also not played a full game yet. Then missing Trayvon Diggs etcetera etcetera..

Also nobody wants to talk about how Donovan Wilson looked like he probably shouldn't have got as many snaps as he did.. He was all over the place out of position, over pursuit as if he was trying to make up for lost time.... so, he was just coming back off injury.

but it was more than a few pieces in the cog. You know when a cog IE sprocket missing 4 flat spots, three all next to each other pretty much that machines not working right in the real world...

I promise you this you take away three offensive linemen from any of the top ten teams that you think are playoff teams and then you watch their offense that week play and we're going to talk about how they all look as bad as we did..

You'll probably come back and say no everybody next man up it shouldn't been that bad, no it is that bad.. That's one of the most important units on the team it's one of the most cohesive units.. And yet we have yet to have our starting five in a brand new offense trying to learn their way.

I like how using words like a few cogs is supposed to make us forget how important those pieces were all together at the same time missing.... Most teams would have issues playing well missing that many pro bowlers all in the same game...FACT
Rookie QB, C J Stroud just ran the Texans offense with only 1 starter on the offensive line and a banged up secondary on defense. They hung 37 points on the Jaguars - a team that won a play off game last season.

Of course missing some players is a loss but that's when a QB paid top 10 money and due an extension has to play like one. He can't only show up when the defense decimates the opposition creating multiple turnovers and giving the offense outstanding starting field position on several drives.

He has to make the right decisions in the redzone, execute and not be scared to use his legs.

I don't agree on anything with the Cowboys. This is a team that you never know what to expect. IF we show up, on paper we should win, but same with the Cardinals game.

Does anyone know if our starting O-line is still on vacation?

Did we learn anything from the loss to the Cardinals. The Patriots are a better team than the Cardinals so no one should be taking this game lightly.

But the good news is the Patriots QB is unlikely to run 44 yards on the 2nd play from scrimmage. He is not that kind of QB. In fact, he is more likely to take sacks under pressure. But I have no doubt the Patriots will test the Cowboys run defense.

What should be interesting if the Cowboys offense against the Pats defense. Belichick is a master at taking the best player out of the game. I assume he will use Gonzalez on Lamb. Gonzalez has shut down every receiver he has faced,, including Garrett Wilson of the Jets. I think you need to try him with CeeDee just to keep him honest but CeeDee will need to be at his best.

Who is playing on teh offensive line this week? Who gets hurt in practice on Friday?

I fully expect them to destroy the Pats, and therein lies the problem with this team. I don't need stats to know that we almost always follow up a stinker with a tremdnous game, then all the homers will say we're back. Problem is that if we somehow lose, or barely win then things are much worse than we thought. While the Iggles are 9ers go about their business, we may take another 13 weeks to find ourselves....no doubt the D will show, but I ain't so sure that our O can with the players at key positions that we have

...basically up to THE LION PARSONS. If he comes out with head straight, ready to rumble.

DQ gets back to fundmanetal football. We have the personnel.

It will be good game for us.

I think we do better this game than the Cards, but not sure it results in a win. Pats have a great defense, so they are very capable of making our offense look like it did last game. Luckily, they don't have a super mobile QB, and mac jones is capable of making mistakes, so if we win, it's going to be based on us hammering Mac Jones and getting those turnovers.

I hate to say it but I think it will be close. Pats D could be a real challenge for this dink and dunk offense. Plus you have to think Belichek is licking his chops dreaming up ways to confuse our easily confused QB.

Pats will be a tough game since got a good D and Bellicheat is good in mobilizing his D. points will be a premium but hope for a bounce back game from D .

I agree with this. Belichick scares me and he has his defense coming on strong.

It will come down to which QB makes the plays, which Cowboys defense shows up and who wins the turnover battle.

I don't know what the line is but I'd put it at Cowboys by 3.
