Sure, Dallas SHOULD beat the patriots. Dallas SHOULD have also made the cardinals look like an emo high school football team who has no souls. If Dallas walks in cocky, they walk out with humble pie every time. If they walk in CONFIDENT and remember how to play the game in the sense they have to actually show up for all 4 quarters it should be a cake walk.

Beatdown? No. Remove a few cogs from the Dallas Machine and it falls apart (see Arizona game).

Can the Cowboys beat New England? Of course. In my opinion, Hunter Henry is their only consistent receiving threat. Opposing defenses have neutered Rhamondre Stevenson as their main rushing threat. Ezekiel Elliott remains a shell of his former self. Opposing defensive lines have delivered persistent pressure on Mac Jones and have created many quarterback hurries.

Per usual, Bill Belichick plays his defense close to the vest. The Patriots limited Philadelphia to five field goals. Take away Darius Slay's pick six and Hurts' only touchdown pass would have not helped win their matchup. Tua Tagovailoa sliced New England early but a huge Raheem Mostert run late sealed the Dolphins win. Ultimately, Mac Jones was not impressive but had the better performance over Zach Wilson early in their defensive back-and-forth.

In short? Dallas wins if it minimizes its mistakes on offense. Dallas dominates if it reincarnates its run defense, Prescott exploits whatever the defense gives him underneath (because it will be there to be taken), and (most importantly) the offensive line pops a few holes into the Patriots defensive line. It is not necessary for it to manhandle New England's defensive front. Just crack it a few times. Pollard has the speed to exploit New England's second and third lines of defense. Mostert proved that.

All this speculation means squat if this team does not get its <expletive> in gear from jump. Last week was a straight out embarrassment to professional football. Glad Dallas was not playing the Dolphins Sunday.

i'm pretty sure you should have learned your lesson after last week.... zeke's going to have 300 rushing/rec scrimmage yards and we're going to lose.. he will lower that big head and take out 11 for the season. he will have his revenge.

sometimes this needs to be said and especially to people I think know better , they try to minimize how big those losses really were to make losses greater than they really were.

dude it was more than a few cogs. three offensive linemen, all pro bowlers at the same time gone.... Tyler smith comes in also not played a full game yet. Then missing Trayvon Diggs etcetera etcetera..

Also nobody wants to talk about how Donovan Wilson looked like he probably shouldn't have got as many snaps as he did.. He was all over the place out of position, over pursuit as if he was trying to make up for lost time.... so, he was just coming back off injury.

but it was more than a few pieces in the cog. You know when a cog IE sprocket missing 4 flat spots, three all next to each other pretty much that machines not working right in the real world...

I promise you this you take away three offensive linemen from any of the top ten teams that you think are playoff teams and then you watch their offense that week play and we're going to talk about how they all look as bad as we did..

You'll probably come back and say no everybody next man up it shouldn't been that bad, no it is that bad.. That's one of the most important units on the team it's one of the most cohesive units.. And yet we have yet to have our starting five in a brand new offense trying to learn their way.

I like how using words like a few cogs is supposed to make us forget how important those pieces were all together at the same time missing.... Most teams would have issues playing well missing that many pro bowlers all in the same game...FACT

Yes...it can and does happen.
Its maddening though, when the team says "its what we needed".

If we are focused and play like we can, we will win. We are the better team.
We were the better team last week, lol- didn't seem to matter. They didn't play like it, which is all that matters.
I know Belichek's team is nowhere near as talented as they used to be anymore - but he still makes me nervous. He always comes up with a great defensive plan to take away your top couple weapons. He's actually great at that. Just don't know if he has the talent to pull it off. He is still a defensive genius.
Glad Im not a bettin' man, lol - could go either way.

well its a reflection of a culture that wont change until skelator and his son release thir grip on mediocrity. As fans we can just hope that we have more winning days at the right times and less days like last week. Its clear to me that we are at best the 3rd best team in the NFC which is ok. The best team dont always win

Are you saying they might come out and play like they actually give a damn? We sure didn't see that this past Sunday.
Maybe we will get to see it this Sunday. We'll have to wait and see.

Last week is over. Let's move on. Last week's Cards game still pains me but I am getting over it a little bit more every day. lol
