Anyone else feeling meh?

I laugh at those "it's only the QB lacking" comments. Was it Dak's fault Zeke dropped a perfectly thrown crossing shallow pass that would have allowed the Zeke to convert a key 3rd down? Heck, Zeke would have gained big yards since the whole sideline was wide open. Was it Dak's fault Zeke did not know where the sideline was while stepping out of bounds prior to catching a throw along the sideline which Zeke took to the house for what should have been a TD? Was it Dak's fault Zeke got the ball stripped and lost after running for a huge gain late in the 4th quarter and in scoring position? Was it Dak's fault receivers were struggling to get open early, running deep developing routes where they were running straight to the DBs and getting covered while Dak was sacked 5 times and constantly under pressure due to poor pass protection? Was it Dak's fault Linehan refuses to get more creative, call more RPOs and quick hitting pass patterns to help Dak counter the constant pressure and poor pass protection?

Nah, it's much easier just to blame Dak. It's all Dak's fault. Just throw it up in the air, Dak, even if it gets intercepted. Just throw it deep even if no receiver is open. Who cares about turnovers. Let's just please the antsy clueless fans. Have at it. Smh
We are all clueless . Dak is fantastic....

I watch teams like the Rams, Chiefs and Vikings and I realize how far away this team really is.

With coaching from Garrett, Linehan and the owners, catching these teams seems totally hopeless.

It is very discouraging.

I am in my 50's and have for all my life looked forward to football season and the cowboy game each week. Today I'm on the zone looking for something to believe in. I see stories of JJ saying we are like the rams. I roll my eyes at the joke that this seems. Does he really believe that or is he just trying to pump up a tired fan base?

I read JG saying that nothing major is changing on the offense. Boy the guy really knows how to pump you up . Linehan says that Dak needs to start slinging it. I get the point about him playing up tight but I feel like you need to do something to help him out so he gets protection to sling it. I feel like we will run the same crap and hope he can man up and somehow become Romo.

I see rookie QB after rookie QB getting setup to succeed by their coaches. Then I look at Rush who looked great last year and now looks alot like what Dak looks like running this offense.

All of this leads me to feel meh. I'm caring less than I ever have and I hate it. Come on Cowboys give me SOMETHING to believe in on offense and think the future will be better than the current.

I hear ya ...

8.5 years of Garrett as HC and counting ...

Yeah. We're playing detroit. Maybe the Lions will deal us a chokefest and Stafford will fumble 2snaps in a row again . Lol

I doubt we're gonna win a game all year w all these non scorers on offense. Especially with this pitiful te core leading all snaps.

No 2 rb or 4 wide receiver formations so it looks like a big L with the tes . I don't think we're through beating a dead horse w these practice squad level tes

Haven't cared in years...It's a joke. I know it...Jerry knows it. And finally most of America is waking up to it.

I'm right there with you.

Someone offered me a great deal on tickets for tomorrow’s game and I couldn’t get excited about it. Turned them down. Really don’t care to go watch this trash coach right now

Meh is the feeling when you thought you had something (2016-First half of 2017) and you see it fall away and never get right (Atlanta on).

The Meh is seeing that the offensive malaise of Atlanta on last year has *continued* to this year. It is not a fluke. It is the new normal.

The Meh is seeing a downhill slide instead of an arrow pointing up.

As for Rush taking a slide after his rookie season, he is not alone, which is a huge indictment of our coaching staff. Dak. Bennett. Felix. Guys who look like destined to be stars, and then, not.

Go look at the numbers on Dak in the first half of 2017. He was doing great. Even the down game at Denver was just a down game. Not that horrible. One INT off Dez's hands. Another where Dez goes out and Dak throws in.

Was Dez developed up to his potential? How much Dez was left on the table? How much was his improvement his own growth, and how much was it Tony's grow in being able to use him?

And the lesser lights. Underwear thief. Dunbar. Escobar. Williams. Guys we carried for years, and for what? Did we develop them? Now just a bunch of guys on the veteran depth pile of the NFL, last resort warm bodies until rookies know what they're doing and replace them.

Tony and Witten were leftover Parcells' projects. Martin and Frederick were gold from day one. Just needed more strength.

Does anyone think the coaching staff improved Tony, as opposed to Tony improving himself? I know if I wanted a QB coach, I'd take Tony over Garrett, Linehan, or the waterboy. Same for OC.

The success stories. Beasley improved. Mainly oline. Tyron. Leary. Parnell. ( cough Chaz Green cough). Looney (or did he only improve when he *left*?).

Beasley is the offensive skill player success story. Lots and lots of failures.

I’m 65 and haven’t missed a game in over 54 years. I’ve never understood needing to believe in something to follow and support it?

I have little if any hope in this team or the Cowboys in this puppet era with Jerry.

But they’re my local team and the regional broadcasted game so I’ll continue to watch and cheer them on regardless how dysfunctional or hopeless we are.

I’ve been that way since 2016 divisional game. That game told me we are never going to win anything with Garrett. We weren’t ready to play. Gb had the worse secondary in the league and we didn’t exploit it enough. Then with under 2 minutes to play with Elliott dominating we called a pass in the end zone. Incomplete stops the clock and saves GB a TImeout. We scored but left too much time on the clock. Garrett’s clock mismanagement did it for me.

Still watch every game but just like whatever. I don’t invest a lot of my emotion in this team right now. Not until certain changes are made.

I don't even care to know the time of the game until Sunday morning when I wake up. Usually I know a week in advance.

We really were not ready. Sad.
