I am in my 50's and have for all my life looked forward to football season and the cowboy game each week. Today I'm on the zone looking for something to believe in. I see stories of JJ saying we are like the rams. I roll my eyes at the joke that this seems. Does he really believe that or is he just trying to pump up a tired fan base?

I read JG saying that nothing major is changing on the offense. Boy the guy really knows how to pump you up . Linehan says that Dak needs to start slinging it. I get the point about him playing up tight but I feel like you need to do something to help him out so he gets protection to sling it. I feel like we will run the same crap and hope he can man up and somehow become Romo.

I see rookie QB after rookie QB getting setup to succeed by their coaches. Then I look at Rush who looked great last year and now looks alot like what Dak looks like running this offense.

All of this leads me to feel meh. I'm caring less than I ever have and I hate it. Come on Cowboys give me SOMETHING to believe in on offense and think the future will be better than the current.
I am 48 and feel the same way. I have had the Sunday Ticket for probably 15 years, I do not miss a Cowboys game. My wonderful wife of 30 years(as of Sunday) knows that Sunday during NFL season is my day. She leaves me alone, goes shopping, spends time with mom... whatever, but my Sunday starts at about 8 am west coast time. I start looking at reports on players for my fantasy team, maybe go on a walk, then at 10am my arse is up in my man cave with my 120inch screen and a separate TV going with 2 different games. I watch football from 10am, until 830ish pm..... and I love it. We are going into week 4, and my season is over as far as seeing my team with a shot at the playoffs, and that SUCKS.

I will still watch every game, but it is like sitting down and waiting to get taken to the electric chair. You know nothing good is about to come from the game in front of you.

MY passion for football hasn't changed. I flip on the Rams - Vikings game and see two exciting offenses. I see the Steelers and the Bucs in a shootout. THe Packers offense, the Chiefs...so many fun teams to watch. And then there is ours.....just so boring. Our games are just tedious to watch.

Same here. I watch any game on tv, but watching our team has now turned in to a painful experience, almost not even something I look forward to. I will not miss a game..... but the same reasons I hate college football, are now becoming the reasons I am disgusted with Cowboys games.... you already know the outcome in 9-% of the games.... and in our case, it will be an offense that scores about 13 pts on their way to a loss.

Just the QB position? The WR’s and TE’s are also garbage man. The only skill position playing well is Zeke.
the WRs go as the qb goes.

Look at Jordy Nelson last year.... guy had like 5 TDs in the first 4 games. Rodgers went down, and Jordy SUCKED..... or did he suck???? or did he just have **** trying to throw him the bal.

guess what, Same thing happened to Antonio Brown.
Watch how bad the Wrs and TE start to look in SF right now.......hard for our WRs to look good when your QB sucks.

Kind of like a kick *** car in NASCAR running on tired from last weeks race.... the car would just look slow.

I admittedly was a Jason supporter, as well as Dak. But lately I’ve soured on the whole thing. I’ve lost pretty much all faith in our offense with Garrett and Linehan. Linehan is just plain bad.

I want to see this thing turned around. But it’s always the same ole same ole. Not sure how they pulled it off in 2016. I really thought after Dak and Zeke’s rookie season we’d be contending for years to come. And there was no reason for us not to.

So what has changed? Nothing. We don’t evolve. And so here we are, spinning our wheels with a team that should be talented enough, but with a mediocre coaching staff and piss poor scheme.

I still watch and hope for the best, but until I see this offense drastically reverse course it's going to be hard to get invested.

This looks like a tale of two teams to me. The defense is its own team and the offense is its own. It won't be long until the defense starts calling out the offense. The entire offensive staff needs to go and that include most importantly JG. Until he's gone I have no hope for anything. None.

the cowboys are hard to watch no excitement garrets conservative footballs is really hard to watch the defense never seems to make a play to get a turnover I watch but there is not much hope or excitement about watching in knew from the last half of last season and watching the preseason we were not a playoff team but I thought they wuld be alittle better than they are

Actually, I was joking. Could go with QB coach tho

I don't think you're the only one to think of this, joking or not. I think Romo could make a good coach some day. I just think he could use a little seasoning first. I mean how much worse could he be than Clappy the Clown?

I sure Hope jerry was joking and saw an interview on channel 5 6pm sports cast that jerry was pissed he was misquoted or the intentions of the quote..he according to Jerry never said we can be the rams offense but with some work should be able to score more points, but no way averaging 30..He is senile if he really meant it, we weren't built like that but he can reference many games 2016 and half of 2017 where we averaged 27 points in a lot of games...issue here again is we were NOT built to do this, we are supposed to be a running team and we arent giving Zeke enough carries, not even close, but SL and JG keep abandoning the run early and get away from it instead of just keep hammering away, instead trying to make Dak throw it a ton when our weakness in the oline is Pass protection and weakness fro our QB is having to sling it under pressure..add in new TE and Wrs and thats a recipe for being 1-2..ridiculous statement.. he could have simply said we can be better and we will be better at scoring more..that would have been enough.. He knows the fans can see the truth no need for a distraction, no football fan would believe we could have the rams offense, we dont have the players, scheme or coaching. ity better get fixed quickly as this offense is starting to resemble 2015 and the days between Aikman and Romo where the we didnt have any offense that would scare people. no way defenses stack the box with zeke and Romo ie Romo and Murray it was pick your poison and we made them pay more times then not..the last 11 games looks like disjointed offense with no identity and bad execution in a bad scheme that doesnt fit our players..its sad really given all the hope we had from 2016 and now the D is coming into form.. why this team can never have all 3 phases click at the same time..im not Meh but im not buying this crud..

The Cowboys season is not over. They are only 1-2 and 1 game back in the NFC East. Why are you giving up so easy?

My mode of thinking is “im just a fan i dont care if the cowboys win or lose, all i care is that they coach smart and play smart”

When i see what i see now, how can you get pumped up? We arent prepared and we dont coach smart

Yes I agree. I think QBC or OC would suit him but he would be crazy to come back. He left with a shiny crown, why tarnish it by coaching. Not to mention he's god as a commentator. Romo is set and he looks happy. Good on him

Much as I hate Garrett, what is most deflating is knowing the Jones family will have this team for decades to come.

I came to terms with that a while ago. Can't change that. I can't change anything about the Cowboys in reality. I think or fret very little about things I can't change. Jones ownership is one of them.

I can't argue with you here. But l can see Romo wanting to do something else sooner or later. I don't want to say he'll get bored with broadcasting, but he may want to stay closer to home as his children grow. I'm not exactly saying home will be Texas either...

I .... the current.

Can blame you , in the same boat , 20 years of Jerry will do that any one. ( except the brief period of Parcells and Romo )cowboys have nothing to show.

I am 48 and married. Will be over at your house at 8am. Wives can go shop. Need to park my butt in front of that 120 inch tv. Lol. I will bring the drinks.

Season isn’t over yet.
