Anyone else have trouble getting excited about games like this?

This mythology needs to end and end now. It's a ridiculous slur on the players.

When Ware has been out there w/half his body completely numb…He's missed 3 games in his career now?
When Witten is out there no matter what every game…
When Romo is out there with cracked ribs, punctured lung/spleen you name it…
When Waters was playing with 3 devastating injuries…
etc…etc.

When these players are sacrificing their bodies to the point where they will have lifetime pain...

I suggest you critics just shut up and quit making fools of yourself with this "lacking passion" crap. With maybe 2 or 3 exceptions…this team is laying it out there every Sunday.

Some of you fans simply don't deserve a winning team.

I get what you're saying but some of these younger generation players don't seem to take the game as serious as the older/retired players. Some players care more about the fame and stuff that comes along with being an NFL player.

I'd be 10 times more excited if the Cowboys had won in Detroit.

Because now this Minnesota game is more about not losing than it is about winning.

It's more about trying to avoid becoming 4-5, than it is about the Cowboys potentially improving to 6-3 (an opportunity they could have had.)

I'm not so much excited for this game as I am nervous about it. This is the week we find out who the 2013 Cowboys will be. Win, and an 8-8 NFC East title is still on the table. Lose, and this is a 6-10 second place team with the 7-9 Eagles charging into the postseason.

(This is my weak attempt at humor).

Well, look at it this way, if we win this one then 3-4 down the stretch will win us the division. If we lose this one, you can start looking at that top 10 pick.

I find it very difficult to get excited for a game against a 1-6 Minnesota team, especially after the collapse at the end of the last game. If they had won, I'd be in a better mood about it and look forward to being 6-3 after this weekend. Sitting here at 4-4 though and completely expecting a win, leaves me not looking forward to the game all that much. If they win it's expected, if they lose, then I'll be pissed. Not really a lot of positive to take away from a game like this. I look to the Saints game as the next one that I'll really have a chance to get excited for, to be hopefully see some impressive football that is indicative of where the team is or may be going (if anywhere).

Anyone else feel like this?

Feel Exactly like that.

There are hard-workers in every generation. What I find offensive is some fans absurd conclusion that 4-4 = no passion, no care….or that if you aren't screaming and throwing helmets that you don't care. This team has a lot of heart and fight. They just don't have elite talent.

I'd also suggest that the coaching isn't elite either. It's not at all surprising we are 4-4.

Of course there are hard workers in every generation. But 20 years ago you wouldn't have seen players laughing and carrying on after a loss. Not talking about cowboy players specifically, but the league as a whole.

We might not have a top 5 roster talent wise, but we have enough to be better than .500. We are under achieving, and it's the responsibility of the Head Coach to make sure that doesn't happen.

I'm with you on this, the excitement has been ripped out of me SLOW and HARD. If we beat the Vikes my nervous passion will return for the Saints at which point I will truly see us as a contender...hopefully not to be let down once again.

Hey, I have the Directv pkg so I watch every single Boys game no matter what is going on, but this weekend they will have to prove to me that we can compete with the big boys before I am ready to commit hair kari again the following week.

I don't get excited unless we are up by 21 points , with like, 2 minutes to play.

I figure even we can't blow that big of a lead !!!

You don't know how dez prepares week in week out so it's not right for you to make such derogatory claims.

I said if anyone is lacking in passion/dedication it's Dez…but I'm not making that call.

Nevertheless when Megatron calls out Dez's route running and when Troy Aikman does the same….it's an absolute lock that there is an issue there. Maybe he's trying his hardest to refine his routes, but we are 3 years into his career now and it's a puzzler why that's such a blatant issue.

I don't know what is in Dez's heart or mind. But the lack of precise route running seems something exceedingly fixable if the guy was committed to his craft.

I am real excited because I hope the Cowboys are mad and ready to kick butt, I will be interested even if the Cowboys are ahead 60 to zero. I love a blowout, if the Cowboys are blowing somebody else away.

Its only a trap game If we are exponentially better than our opponent. I dont think we are exponentially better than anyone at this point.

Given our defense and our sluggish offense we could just as easily lose this game as we could win it.

I think we're a good bit better than MN but we can be beat by them.

Not on purpose, but I have tempered my pre-game excitement. I think it's a coping mechanism knowing that there are very good odds that something disappointing is going to happen.

Show me some examples of dez running lousy routes. I don't think it happens very often. He is only 24 years old and will only get better. I would like to see him run more crossing patterns.

A good offensive system/scheme is supposed to make receivers look better. That's the real problem. Our receivers are talented and each bring something to the table.

You aren't a Cowboys fan then. Too bad for you. Ironically if anyone is a little light on passion it is Dez. For two seasons he couldn't care enough to learn the whole playbook and he still hasn't put anything close to Michael Irvin effort to learn his craft. The guy runs lousy routes as has been well documented lately.

Says the guy who doesn't bash players... Double standard much?

Oh and another! Look in the mirror before you call anyone else out about dogging players. Your blatant hate on Dez is absolutely pathetic. You don't know what heart passion or emotion is in Football.
