Anyone else kind of excited about our D-line?

I admit, our D-line is completely unproven. Our most experienced player is the Eagle we brought in. Our next most is Jack Crawford. Our most proven players are probably Tyrone Crawford followed by Demarcus Lawrence who has a total of one good season under his belt. But this D-line is freakishly young and athletic. Tapper might be the fastest DE in the league. Irving is a freak. So is Gregory. I'm really looking forward to seeing what these guys can do. I'd almost rather see what a guy like Mayowa can do than get the usual 4 sacks from a guy like Jason Jones. This D-line has the potential to be absolutely awful. But they also have the potential to be very good and very exciting. I hope it goes the latter.

Really excited about Collins and Tapper...Collins will be very disruptive in the middle.

The inside of our defense is as good and as deep as it has been in 20 years. Crawford, Thornton, Collins and Irving. I love Irving off the bench and think he will make as big an impact as anyone else on the inside.

Honestly, no. I'm intrigued but certainly not excited. I still have visions of a hobbled Aaron Rodgers slicing this team to shreds with no pressure at all and I'm not at all convinced that this group is any better than that one.

I'm hopeful that a couple of these guys prove to be a force but, honestly, I'm at the show me stage. When that happens, then I'll get excited.

Excited? No. Scared to death? Yes. We got bunch of unknowns and two players suspended for 4 games meaning they are one more strike from a 1 yr suspension.

Frustrated that this staff won't take Billings even in the 4th round! For the love of God even a good 1 tech is worth a 4th rounder given our history of unproductive 4th round picks. I would have been really excited about this draft if we had picked Billings in the 4th. You know people are not gonna be running up the gut on this D and I would actually enjoy and have positive thoughts on a goal line defense.

I dont have a handle on the DL. It will be better but what does that mean?
I like Collins and Tapper.

Thornton was one of the best run stoppers in the NFL last year.

The thing that excites me about the D-line is that we have to play the young guys now since that's all we have. I admit, it's scary having to rely on young guys. I'd much prefer to have some star veterans in front of them so we don't need to rely on them. But I'd rather see what a young guy can do than give all the snaps to mediocre veterans like Hayden and Mincey. I was almost hoping guys would get injured so I could see what a young guy like Irving could do if given the chance.

Good points hope it is very very exciting !!!

I don't need Bruce Smith on the outside if we have some guys with a quick twitch and some motors on the inside. We haven't had that since Ratliff in his prime. Will be nice to see.

I can't wait to see what Thorton has. We could never run against Philly. Love Irving. Still think he might be our best Dlineman. Collins looks quick on tape. Very excited. Mario Williams would look sweet right now however....

Count me in on the Tapper bandwagon...

I like the guys numbers he put up combine wise and his tape shows alot of flashes even though he was supposed to mostly be just an occupier in that Okie 3-4

Like the upside of our young players but Cowboys need a proven impact guy on DL right now. Trade for Jets' Mo Wilkerson then I will be excited.
