If there is any proof that Dak Prescott is washed up it was MCCarthy unwilling to let Dak pass the ball in the final drive. Almost all running plays. Then he lets Dak pass and bingo…….INTERCEPTION! This is why Jerry traded for Lance. He knew it was inevitable. Let’s do it now!!!

I do believe the Dak Prescott experiment has come to an end. I have seen enough. And dont blame it on the offensive line. It does not matter. This team is so poorly conditioned that almost the entire offensive line is on the bench. It will continue that way throughout the remainder of the season. This team is injury prone due to poor conditioning. To see this many injuries both season ending and otherwise is startling.
Dumb post. Dak’s not going anywhere and he isn’t an experiment. He’ll be QB1 for many years, so get used to it.

Ask yourself why the 49ers let go of him?
Brock Purdy has been playing like an MVP candidate since he first started, and continues so far this season. They found a diamond in the rough. Usually you strike gold on the high first round pick and punt the last pick in the draft they just happened to do the opposite.

Lance is unproven though only 8 games for his career.

Jeebus. What, ever, in the history of the NFL and certainly in the brief, weaksauce career of Trey Lance makes this a reasonable take.

Everyone on this forum should immediately put you on ignore as well as anyone who liked your post.

You guys are poison and probably rooted against Roger and Troy as well.

None of you are serious football people.

They called so many teams only the cowboys gave them 4th...it is not a bad risk but i don't think he will be better than what we have now

Trey Lance sucks. He isn't the answer.
He's only thown a total of 112 passes in his NFL career. Niners wouldn't have got rid of him if they didn't strike gold with Purdy.

However it is possible he sucks he just hasn't had enough experience in the NFL to be labeled a bust.

It's an act. It's not serious.

It's literally said to get a rise. The poster 100% doesn't believe or care about what he says beyond eliciting a response.

I just start to wonder why real cowboy fans come here. The forum encourages and embraces posters who are the opposite of what we come here for.

And they can’t even say it’s about “diverse opinions”, because so many of these posters are essentially a chancre on the fandom.

It’s likely not much more than evidence of the social media culture where fighting and arguing trumps meaningful discussion.

These people just as likely post on political forums and god knows what other places where the focus is discord and argument for the sake of argument.

Uh......NO!!! The trade was a waste of a 4th round pick. He will never take a snap for the Cowboys. Should have traded for OLine depth.

How long is it going to sink in, that Dak is an interception waiting to happen. He is not worth a tenth of his salary. I am sorry. Trey Lance cant be any worse and can add another dimension. Look at the running qb that won the game.
Dak is probably worth a fifth of his salary. Dak is bottom tier of NFL starting quarterbacks. But the idea that San Francisco's third string quarterback "can't be worse" is ridiculous. Of course he can be worse. SF wasted multiple first round pics on that bum. They had more incentive than anybody to see him become a success, but he never made it past #3 on the depth chart in two years. And now he's in same spot here. So what does that tell you?

andy why would we want Lance? defense just gave up over 200 yards rushing. 180+ in first half. so the they were tired excuse doesn't cut it, given they had similar TOP in first half.

and then the offense stalled inside the redzone, inside the 10 mianly. not sure what McCarthy was thining. that was the most bland play design and calls inside the redzone.

I am going to give him a pass, since we were missing 3 OL men
Good question. I’ll field it but I’m only giving my reason why I want Lance. I’m not trying to speak for everyone that is mad at Dak. My answer is based on 2 premises.
Premise 1. We did not lose yesterday because if Dak. We lost because the defense doomsdayed our own team. Dak played a part in the loss but majority of the blame goes to the defense and injuries.
Premise 2. I only want Lance if we get eliminated from the playoffs. If we were to go 0-5 the next 5 games then we’d be 2-6. Basically the wheels at that point have flown off for the season. Then start Lance. Or if we get eliminated from playoff contention, then start Lance. Get him some reps this season to see what we have.

We know what we have in Rush. He’s a known product. If we get eliminated from playoff contention then that means Dak and the offense is not doing well because I really think the defense will rebound. It’s kind of like in 2020 when we kept played Dalton as opposed to GG. Why? We know Dalton has hit his ceiling and is not the long term answer. If this season goes sideways then let’s see what Lance can do. We know Dak and Rush have hit their ceilings.

But I repeat ONLY IF WE ARE ELIMINATED FROM THE PLAYOFFS. If there’s hope for the playoffs then Dak is our best shot this year.

I’ve been ready for anybody other than Dak. The fact is, there is no point keeping a guy around, if you know he isn’t the one. Trey Lance is just another guy that will end thd Dak culture. I don’t even think Dak is trade-able now, unless to a really bad team that needs some financial push. There are enough ignorant fans that haven’t watched him play thinking he is good enough to do something that they’ll spend some money. That feeling will last two years maximum watching his play.

They gave up on him way too early. He offers much more than dak will produce which is no passing game and interceptions. The emporer has no clothes. Period!
Not sure I ageee with the first part. Reality is, there is not enough tape for anybody to make a judgment about Lance. The second part is absolutely spot on.

if we go 0-5. what if we go 3-2? or 4-1? or 2-3?

I think people are just having a knee jerk reaction. they had it the first two weeks and they have it now. we weren't as good as the first two weeks made us to be and not as bad as we looked yesterday.

if we are eliminated from playoffs, then give lance a chance, however, he has to show he is better than Rush. if he can't beat rush, then he is not worth it. he is more like Justin Fields.
