An MVP level?

Absolutely, so far this year he's thrown for 736 yards in 3 games 4 TDs 0 INTs, last season before getting injured he was 13 TD only 4 INT. He hasn't lost a start in his career yet. He has a good team but he is more than doing his part. 49ers lucked out with the last pick in the draft. It doesn't really matter where in the draft you land a QB it only matters that you land one, that's why it was easy to move on from Lance with him only throwing for 112 passes in 8 games for his career. Nobody knows if he's going to be good or a bust yet he's unproven.

This is MVP level?
If he ends up with around 30 TDs and say 3-5 INTs and the 49ers have the best record he's not going to be a MVP candidate? Bs.

They probably go to the Super Bowl last year if he stayed healthy. He got them to the NFC Championship game. Wake me up when Dak does that.

I think you're still a long ways away from any chatter of changing QBs. It is worth mentioning though that you have a very tough stretch of games coming up the next month plus. If we see a 1-4 type of stretch, maybe even 2-3 (depending on how it looks) that could start to change. The big piece to this too is how does Lance look in practice? He should be at a point where he knows the offense pretty well, if not it's a huge red flag. That was sort of the Bledsoe/Romo debate years ago. Obviously, Romo had shown a lot of flash in preseason games with the Cowboys so he had some fan support, we have almost nothing to go off of with Lance in a Cowboys uniform, but the players recognized what Romo was capable of doing in practice. You go back and listen to Parcells interviews on that situation and he always talks about how he lost trust in Bledsoe that year. He was taking a beating at QB and started to go rogue. I've got to believe that MM hasn't lost trust in Dak just yet, but the if we see a losing streak that type of stuff can change quickly.

Despite Daks performance in the Arizona game we are still a million miles away from even thinking about Trey Lance.

But these threads at least make for a good laugh. Overreaction galore.

He's averaging 1.33 TDs a game currently.

Currently he is not playing at an MVP level.

Y'all have lost your minds.

Can he tackle or stop the run. Is he better than Malik Hooker at safety? All for it then.

Throwing darts at Dak is just about
what I expect from this fanbase though. Guess the defense stuffed the potent Cards offense.
Someday people will understand that when you accept a franchise QB contract you have to earn it and act like a franchise QB at least once in awhile. You can't just be a guy on the field.

But he never does that. Because he's not a franchise QB. Yet we invest so much of our cap space on him. That is the problem.

Don't understand all this hate for Trey.Wasn't he the starting QB last year ahead of Garopollo and Purdy before he broke his ankle.Bradshaw said he trusts Shanahans decision to release Trey but isn't he the same coach that made him the starter last year?Trey is still young and talented maybe a change will do him some good.Don't think we are ever going to the Super Bowl with an average QB that's a below average decision maker taking up 34 million cap space.
The hate is because he’s bad

We gotta stick with dak this year but if we give him a huge extension in the off season then this franchise is done for the next 4-5 years.

If there is any proof that Dak Prescott is washed up it was MCCarthy unwilling to let Dak pass the ball in the final drive. Almost all running plays. Then he lets Dak pass and bingo…….INTERCEPTION! This is why Jerry traded for Lance. He knew it was inevitable. Let’s do it now!!!

I do believe the Dak Prescott experiment has come to an end. I have seen enough. And dont blame it on the offensive line. It does not matter. This team is so poorly conditioned that almost the entire offensive line is on the bench. It will continue that way throughout the remainder of the season. This team is injury prone due to poor conditioning. To see this many injuries both season ending and otherwise is startling.
Lmao

I'm ready to give him his chance in 2024. Need a dynamic QB in today's league OR an elite/HOF passer. The Cowboys seem to be going backwards at the position...Dak's best years appear to be behind him, if last season and 4 games so far are any indication. Just because some QBs get better as they get older doesn't mean that's the case for all QBs.
