Anyone else really excited about our defense?

Until they fix our #24 ranked secondary, nothing is going to change.
Coaching change = big difference. Just improving the pass rush will pay huge dividends.

Defense is often about the combination of talent, coaching AND emotion.

I think emotion is more important on the defensive side of the ball than the offensive.

And that's something I'm looking forward to. There's a lot of young talent on that defense. If the young Parcells was here, they all might have had some fun...including the coach.

But they played flat all year mostly because they seemed to be more concerned about not making a mistake than getting after the other team.

From a distance, it seems like they are psyched and looking forward to being unleashed.

So yeah, I'm excited about what COULD happen.

Until I see Spears and Canty give more than what they have in the past then color me unimpressed.

Oh look, it's clouds coming in over the parade.

What a great off-season this is - and we haven't even had the draft yet.

The boys not only have a better team but for the first time in several years, that suffocating smog is gone and I sense a fun season coming up.
:D

Spears is the guy who really needs to step up. I think the rest will do fine- but he needs to shut his mouth and put out.

You guys are moving fast for the first date

Let's not forget an important cog to a dominating defense...........a leader. This team is SORELY lacking in that department. Maybe a fiery guy like Hamlin will help, but this defense needs a guy that will set the tone like Porter, Lewis, Briggs/Urlacher, Bob Sanders, etc. We don't have that guy. Roy has refused to take the spot. Ware's demeanor doesn't fit. We need a guy that will light a fire under peoples a****.

If he stays healthy # 94 should be the defensive player of the year next year.

Slightly wishful thinking. On top of that, how many people said that because Parcells was a great defensive coach that the Cowboys would become a great defensive team. Success doesn't automatically translate into immediate success... This isn't the same team that he had in San Deigo and Ware isn't the same player...

True - but only VERY slightly.

Ware isn't the same player...

I think I know how you were going to finish that, and who you were (foolishly) going to compare Ware to - and I would say that you are absolutely right. Ware isn't the same player. He's better. And he's all-natural.
