I loved that show. I thought it was funny when they showed Ray Lewis on ESPN one time bashing it.... the guy who was indicted of murder saying the show "wasn't a true representation of the NFL".

......

Yeah, I'm guessing it was probably more of a true representation than most in the NFL wanted to admit.

too many NFL films, in their own words, NFL replay, Greatest games etc...

I like how NFL radio talks about NOW...they take calls answer emails etc....

I think NFL Network needs more talk shows ....I wanna hear more NFL discussion..not just Total Access a few times a day

I mean i like NFL replay but I can only watch the Giants win super bowl so many times.......:bang2:

this time of year its hard to watch ESPN and all the college B-ball BS....and especially baseball spring training........UUuugh

Yeah but what else are they gonna talk about?? Theres only so much to talk about in the offseason.

That's why in the offseason i stay away from the NFL network.

There's only so much news and opinion ... you can't fill a 24-hour day with just that.

NFL Films has done an awesome job (Ed Sabol and now his son, Steve Sabol) of archiving and preserving the great history of the National Football League.

I love NFL Films. Other sports haven't done near as good of a job of preserving their historic footage and producing great documentaries and features.

There's a lot of truth to this post. Especially in the off-season there's omly so much that can be talked about or reported about the NFL. 24 hours is a lot space to fill when your subject matter is narrowed down to.........well.........one subject.

I would like to see more of the original airings of some games. I loved watching Super Bowls XXVII and XXX the same way that I saw them live. I actually got to see the Jets vs. Colts Super Bowl the way it was broadcast originally. For a guy that wasn't even alive at that time it was amazing to get to experience that game in a "real time" mode. BTW the one thing that amazed me about watching that game is how fast those players actually were. You never get that feel by watching an NFL Films dramatization of the game. It's always this dramatic paced film speed and trumpets in the background (which is fine from a cinematic standpoint) , but to actually see the game in real speed gave me a true look at football of that era, and quite frankly I came away impressed and with a different opinion on whether the players of yesteryear were as good or could hang with the super-athletes of today.

the great part of the nfl network is that it is all of the nfl films library.

I personally would like to see more complete older games and pieces on older players.

I have already had enough of every blogger, writer, radio and tv personalities mock drafts which players suck and are great in their opinion.

more classic nfl films stuff please.

It seems there's some disagreement.... I think they could put all the replay stuff on when most people are at work and late at night--so that it could be recorded--and put current stuff on from 5-9. With the draft around the bend and 32 teams, sure they could spend at least an hour breaking down draft options and needs for each team. My biggest problem is the lack of specific listings--I can't tell when they're going to talk about something I care about... At least with ESPN I know what I'm getting when I tune in or (more likely) choose not to...

I love the old stuff. Where else are you going to see things like Super Bowl XXX replayed in its entirely, or so many of the other old games.

There's literally no other way to see those shows again except on NFLN, and I'm glad they show them at all.

Besides, there's nothing current to talk about now. I love the draft like everyone else, but there's only so much they can talk about at this time of year. "Path to the Draft" is already struggling to find new topics, IMO.

Watch it less.

That way, when you do tune in, it's all brand new stuff, and you're thrilled.

I should probably caption this because it reaks of too much common sense for words!;)

If you tune in to the NFL Network during the season, they are almost 100% non-stop "now" talk (last week's games, midweek reports, upcoming weekend). During the offseason when things are slow and there is not much to report, they don't have as much "now" stuff because there isn't anything out there. Asking them to produce more would just lead to more garbage, with very little substance added.

NFL network has enough news and talk. IMO, there is enough blah blah blah on TV already. I like the old games and NFL films. Especially in the off season.

I like seeing the old footage, after all there is only so much that can be talked about without it turning into the same ol stuff over and over. Seeing the NFL past at least for me is enjoyable.

I just hate when NFL Films turns every game into a story.

Its good after all these years to get to see the ACTUAL GAME.

thats exactly what I mean...more PTI....around the horn....Rome is burning...etc....type shows.... except I hate Jim Rome....lol

I heard Jim Rome's real name is James Octavius Romanovsky.
But there is no truth to the rumor he is 15 years old and is 5'1"
He's at least 30 and is 5'3" Classic.

Well I enjoyed watching the Super Bowl on Alpha Centauri in 2345. Enough of the old stuff already.

I just want more full length original games.

They could pull a random game from a random season, that I can't remember the outcome of and I would watch that rather than watching the Super Bowls over and over (not the Cowboys ones of cours :)) And I could try and watch it like its live and such.

I love the current format.

The NFL isn't just about what's happening this instant. It's ever evolving. The opportunity to see the roots and growth of the game will help fans stay grounded in what's important today and in the future.

Classic NFL Network programming isn't nostalgia. It's retrospection and I hope they don't make major changes to their daily lineup. 'Cause when your fanbase starts to lose focus of what made the sport great, they'll also lose sight of what will keep it great for years to come.

I'm surprised the nflnetwork doesn't show some of the sirius nfl radio shows on the network like espn does with Mike and Mike, etc. I guess they are afraid it would discourage sirius subscribers.
