Anyone else think T.O. will be cut?

I would like to see TO gone, But I think he will be back. But I would have to really consider it if I was Jones. How effective would TO be in Jason's Offense? TO has always been more effective in a WCO. I know there are no other TO's out there in FA or on this team, but there might be better fits for the offensive scheme.

Very effective!!! JC will get TO, TG, and Witten the ball. I'm anxious to see our offense next year especially now that we have a good QB who's only gonna get better and better.. I'm excited!!

there were just too many mitigating factors surrounding the Cowboys-Owens experiment to really know what went wrong. Missing all of TC and the hand injury coupled with a crappy OL and a head coach determined to treat Owens like any other receiver kind of leaves the question unanswered,,, "Can TO be a force in Dallas without playing a West Coast offense?"

It's going to take another season to figure that out...

Agreed.

You know whats funny.... I think if we had thrown TO one or two slants a game that he would have been happy.

I dont get the animosity over this guy because he wants to get the ball.... all WR's do.... all he ever says is I want to get my hands on the ball to help my team win.... he may have gone about something wrong in SF and Phil.... but ultimately he wanted team to win.... and he wanted to be an intricate part in that happening... a few more guys with that attitude and no team can stop us

I've seen Mortensen & Clayton on ESPN speculate that he'll be cut and I tend to agree. I read last night that he costs us approx. 7 mil against the cap next season: is that accurate? If so I really think he's gone. Parcells couldn't control him one iota, do you think Phillips/Garrett or anyone else could? Yeah I know, Jerrah has said he'll be here next season. Doesn't make it so. Which leads to my next question: who is available in free agency as a WR next season?;)

Guess no one reads any Jerry Says..

T.O will be here next season as you dont cut the league leader in TD receptions unless he was seen at Motel with Jerry's Wife.

Who are you going to replace him with? Drew Bennet? Crayton, Hurd, Austin..

Unless Dallas Drafted Ginn/Jarret or Rice I wouldnt even entertain this option.... Next year might be a different story though if those guys had a year to learn the system, route recognition and running.

Maybe I'm wrong, time will tell. He is an incredible talent. Just wish someone could sew his mouth shut. Yeah, Silverbear I've seen where Jones said a million times he'll be back. As Doomsday said, doesn't sway me one way or another. I thought the shots he took at Parcells were classless and gutless. As you've seen the last few days, Parcells' presence is still valued by Jones. He's been in on the interviews with Garrett, etc... My main point is this: Guys like T.O. can run roughshod over young players like Romo, or even young coaches like Garrett. That's been his history. If he doesn't get his way about how much he's getting the ball, he blows up. Ask Philly and SF what that does to a team. I just hope the new HC can keep a lid on him, that's all.

Nope, it would be really dumb to cut him. Like him or not, he is one of the best there is at what he does.

Huh!! Cut T.O. ...yeah right! T.O. will be around for quite some time.

I mean think about it ...Jerry Jones and his surrounding cast of coaches will not surrender T.O. to another franchise without a trade. But I don't even think he'll get traded. I think those in Cowboy power will wait to determine if the new coach can inspire T.O. to start doing the right thing. Whicj interprets into listening to his coaches, cathing the ball more, and staying away from the microphone.

The new coach is going to have His hands full trying to retain that runaway cannon!

Methinks you should be worrying more about Mcbarf's whining about Jeff Garcia than Terrell Owens.

Garcia will be a FA and evidently there is talk that Garcia plans on testing the market. I know here in Houston, Texans fans are calling in saying how they should pick up Garcia
