Anyone gonna mention the refs

I’m all for criticizing the refs when they’re bad.

That being said, it’s tough to point fingers at them when the team plays so bad. The cowboys players got whipped around the field like children playing adults yesterday. The refs have nothing to do with that.

I thought Lamb was hit in the head too, but on review, it looked like a good no call. Guy got him in the chest.

The uncatchable ball was because Dak sailed it out of bounds. Nobody could have possibly caught the ball, even without any contact at all.
The same call was made in the night game and they called it pass interference, it's was called during the Chiefs game as well.

I thought the 4th down pass to Spann-Ford was interference when I first saw it. It looked like the DB hit him before the ball arrived. The rule is you cannot go through the receiver to get the ball and that is exactly when the defender did on that play, it appeared to me.

No way that ball was catchable. That thing almost went in the stands.

The refs were not our problem.
No it wasn't however is there a rule that says if the ball sails out of bounds then the DB can mug the receiver? Who is to say that all that holding and grabbing wasn't the REASON Dak threw it out of bounds.. because he knew his receiver couldn't get open while being bear hugged? Sometimes a QB will throw the ball in the general direction to force the refs to LOOK at the defensive holding and throw the damn flag.. but make sure to get it out of bounds so it doesn't get picked.

If it happened before the throw its not PI but defensive holding and the pass wouldnt have anything to do with the penalty. If the initial call was PI then the refs got it right as the rules say it has to be a catchable ball.

Where the guy was 3 yards downfield when the pass was thrown? That's ticky-tack?
Ill be interested to watch this moving forward. I thought it was a ticky tack call because refs have given a lot of wiggle room for OL in recent years due to the increase in RPOs being called. Philly would get away with OL being downfield all the time with how long Hurts would hang onto the football with an RPO on. I hope they are finally starting to crack down on these.

Dallas could have received every call and it would not have mattered. The Saints were way more physical than Dallas and executed at a very level.

It was a bad outing for us. We got smoked. Especially our Defense. They allowed at least 5 tds on the first 5 drives of the game.

But they for sure got a jump start from the refs in the 1st quarter. Come on. Did saints dbs even look back for the ball. So many broken plays the defender draped all over our WR and went through them with no flag. Never looking for the ball. We had a break up where our defender got there a tick early and they threw that one with no problem.

Lamb was interfered with in the endzone and then another defender came over and hit him helmet to helmet with no flag. Tolbert had a contested one handed catch where the defender was all over him early and never looked for the ball with no flag.

Then early on Lamb had a flag picked up because the ball was not catchable. Was not catchable because he was not allowed to run his route. Instead they called a ticky tack call on our O-Line.

I am sure some will pick and choose other plays we got away with something but the first quarter was obviously one sided calls.
I’m sure you can find the refs mentioned on 14 other NFL teams’ fan forums today. It will be 15 others’ by tomorrow morning.

Lets unpack this Ronnie. So Dak realized that CD was getting mugged and was trying to get the refs attention. In that scenario you still have to throw something close to a catchable ball. The NFL rule book does not define what is uncatchable other than to say "clearly uncatchable." The pass Dak threw was clearly uncatchable. So Dak, in your scenario, was trying to draw the flag but threw such a bad pass that they couldn't enforce the PI.

Unpack, fold and do your laundry if you like. The placement of the pass does not change the rest of the rulebook. Illegal contact and holding still apply no matter if the ball is caught by a kid in the 14th row.

The first defender didn’t seem to look back for the ball. This happened over and over. Likely would not have made a diference. Our Defense looked horrible.

First series of the game for the Cowboys the refs missed obvious face mask. They even showed the replay.

How in the hell can you miss blatantly grabbing the RB's facemask?

I knew then it was business as usual the rest of the game.
Pretty much. They missed 2 face masks I think but the 1st one was obvious and ignored

3 missed pi calls and a blatant face mask but when you lose my a million it goes under the radar.

Na man they 100% were allowed to fave guard. The announcer even said on a real blatantly obvious one that they probably won't call it on a LB. Davis made zero attempt to look back.

As you said, we got smoked and it doesn't matter. It didn't help though.
