Does anybody have a problem with the Dallas Cowboys all-time single season rushing leader ... being a Philadelphia Eagle?

I wish it was still Emmitt.

I have a problem with FA and a salary cap.

Yes, I do. I never wanted him to break it. At the time, I didn't know why. Maybe because I know he wasn't as special as Emmitt was.....

Someone changed the title of the thread, .. which all together changes what I was actually asking.

All names aside, all players aside, ... my question was about ... one of the premier records/titles in single season Cowboys history, belonging to a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Leave Murray out of it. If this was about Murray I would have put it in an existing thread.

This is about our record books.

It doesn't sit will with me that an Eagle holds our record.

It sucks that he went to a division rival but I don't personally have a problem with it. He took financial security while he has the chance.

This defense might have a problem with, though. Twice a year. Eagles offense is no slouch.

If he can go through 11 in the box. They have no receivers

This thread is about the Dallas Cowboys singe season rushing champion, ... not about contracts, financial security, guaranteed money, etc.

There are a couple of other threads all about that.

I'm not in love with it,but the feeling will pass.
Aikman was ALMOST an eagle as well.

I have no problem with Murray as an Eagle. I rooted for him every play when he was a Cowboy, but he was never one of my favorites, he was just another player on my favorite team.
Now that he is gone, I won't follow him or watch him unless he is playing the Cowboys.

If Ware would have signed with Eagles last year, I would have had some issues.

Move this thread please I'm sick of Murray . He wasn't even that good. NO moves , no speed , no vision . He was horrible is the playoffs and looked washed up. He was a decent back behind a great OL playing with a great QB and great TE, WR.

No moves, no vision and no speed yet somehow managed to get 1800 yards:rolleyes:. It's funny how fans dismiss a players contributions once they leave. "Oh he sucks! He was never that good anyway!" SMH like clockwork every year.

I didn't want Murray re-signed but, jeez at least I can acknowledge how much he contributed to our success last season.

I have no issue with it. Knowing what he did with the Cowboys will increase the bitterness the Eagles and their fans feel when he doesn't come close to matching that production in Philly. They'll be forced to recognize "can't beat 'em, can't join 'em, I guess there's nothing left to do but succumb."

Its the biggest problem I have with losing Murray, I feel a little hung over today and am sad to see the guy go, I think the team really had something special last year and he was a big part of that as well as having the character & intangibles you want in a player.

Having said that, I don't believe the team can allocate that much to yet another offensive player.

So basically the whole situation ts a **** sandwich where you're unhappy if you give in and pay $42 mill and you're unhappy when he's gone............but to the ******* iggles?!?!?!

It's a game. Players move on every year. My allegiance is to the star.

I wish Murray the least of luck. I don't care. He's not a Cowboy. I don't root for anyone who doesn't wear the star.

No. It's called free agency. Not free agency excluding division rivals. When Dallas allowed him to hit the market, you have to expect the worst. The player at that point has to do whatever to secure the best contract possible.
