Anyone Hate Monday Night games

I'm an obvious east-coaster but I don't sleep. I _LOVE_ MNF.

I read something a while back about the ESPN Monday night pre-game. MNF on ESPN will kick off at a slightly different time than it has on ABC, but I can't remember the time frame. It seems to me that Monday Countdown will start at 7 and the game will kick off at 8:45 or thereabouts.

Anyone else read that?

I would love to be able to even see it real time. In Hawaii, the ABC affiliate shows a tape delay which starts at 6:30 HST which is 9:30 PT and 12:30 a.m. ET. I have to avoid news, ESPN, Cowboyszone and phone calls with fans on the mainland unless I want to know the outcome of the game before I even watch it.

I can't wait until next year when the game will be on ESPN and I can get it in real time.

I stay up late anyway so I really don't care...But a 8pm start would be just fine with me..you don't have to wait as long for the game to start!

I agree, I actually find it hard to stay up when it isnt the Cowboys. I have missed a few really good finishes (Sunday night too). When this bugs me though I think about my friend in Seattle who begins watching Sunday pregame shows at 830 in the morning. Or my nephew in Hawaii. The Sunday games begin, I forget exactly, like 7am or therebaout.

I really feel sorry for you east coast folks...9:00 start time is brutal. Obviously I'm on the west coast...leave work around 5:15...get some food just in time for the game to start at 6:00...works great for me.

I'm not feeling you on this buddy. Nothing is better than the Cowboys on Monday Night. The game could start at Midnight and I would watch every play gladly.

When the Cowboys play on Monday night, its the best night of football since football was created. I live in CST. I go home and get started about 6:30, and it ain't over until about 12 midnight. You got your Monday Night Countdown with my future husband the Playmaker. You've got almost a whole hour of pregame talk of all Cowboys all the time (because we are hosting the game). ESPN's fluff pieces are about .... who???, the Cowboys. Then you have the game. Then after the game the postgame .... ESPN and NFL Network. I like it, I love it, I want some more of it :starspin

I love them and always have but hate that I have to work on Monday evenings and miss Monday Night Countdown - of course it gets taped, but it's just not the same. I release my students a few minutes early so I can drive home like a bat out of hell in time to catch "Are you ready for some football?", and I'm careful never to test or quiz on the last half of a Monday night so I don't have to rip the test out of the hands of the laggards.

That's why I love you. Me & LaTuna are always ready for some Monday Night Cowboys football.
