on NFL network post game he said if we had TO we would not be so anemic on offense and trading him for Roy is why we are so 'sucky' on offense and if we win the Super Bowl we will look back on this booboo signing Roy
.....to which Fran Charles replied --'I would think if the Cowboys won the SB it would make your argument a moot point"..
and than a whole bunch of silly responses on Dukes part, you could tell he had no idea what a screwball he sounded like when he made that dumb statement
hopefully someone on this site will post the video sometime today for all to look at ...and laugh!!!

Why pay attention to these clowns. They are all Owens lovers who thought he got a raw deal. They all expected the cowboys to finish maybe 9-7 or worse. The facts are Owens is miserable in buffalo and all those preseason predictions about the cowboys seems to be imploding in their faces. The T.O. Lovers will continue to defend him, but as a TEAM were better off.

He is right about one thing; the cowboys need a speedy wr that can stretch the defense, forcing teams to double team him. Roy Williams isnt getting that done. And Austin hasnt if you go back and look at games this year, austin hasnt caught many big balls in the first half.

Why is it ridiculous to assert that if we had Owens still our offense would be better than it is now?

Honestly?

Is anyone actually willing to argue we have a receiver who is truly better than Owens on the team?

I said at the time that getting rid of Owens was probably the single dumbest personnel move Jones has ever made. That is, needlessly depriving yourself of top talent, and paying more to do it, nonetheless. So, essentially, we had to pay in cap space to cut a top talent, yet did it anyway. Truly amazing.

Outside of chemistry issues, in terms of strictly production/talent/playmaking/etc.

A 36 year old T.O. is still much more explosive and better than Roy Williams. Roy is a poor mans Keyshawn.

Bet Owens wishes he would've shut his damn mouth though, its started to get chilly in Buffalo.

yes...but TO is not the guy either...his play really tailed off last year and this year is a continuation..disregard the 'lucky' 97 yd play he had yesterday...he is not that guy anymore....
and neither is Roy...
JG needs to get Austin and Ogletree involved as 'field stretchers' or we will see more of the same like we have the past 2 weeks

TO is really not what he used to be. He could not beat press coverage anymore - at least that is what I saw last year and our Oline does not give Romo enough time to wait for him to get open.

Terrell Owens is on the backside of his career and there is absolutely no evidence to support the claim that we would be a better team if Terrell Owens was on the roster.

Besides, did these guys not watch what happened to us when he was on the roster?

I totally agreed with letting him go, but allow be to play devil's advocate for a second.

When he was on our roster we went 13-3, he put up monster stats, Witten also had huge seasons with Owens running off defenders, defenses constantly had to double team him, and he opened up things for us offensively.

Can't say that Roy draws any special attention, only thing he draws is the teams 2nd best corner and man coverage.

And we were also 9-7 with him on the roster as well.

Terrell Owens is washed up. Is he better then Roy Williams at this point in his career, yep, but that doesn't mean the gap is so wide that he would put our offense over the top as well.

Besides, at this point in his career, the crap that he does in the locker room outweighs any of the positives he brings to the field.

Actually, the problem was never TO. It continues to be Jason Garrett. Why is it always by December that teams have the Cowboys figured out. Why can't receivers get open? Even a very talented TO. Its kind of obvious that Garrett doesn't know how to call a game. Garrett's gameplan is dumb. Shotgun formation, run out of shotgun. No mix and match, no playaction on first downs. Its First down run, second down pass, third down pass. So freaking predictable. He's a terrible OC. TO and Romo did score the most TDs of any tandem over his few years w/ Dallas. Clearly he was doing something right. And forget the drama, everybody knew the real problem was JG and it continues to be that way. Down with Garrett, keep Wade [the defense is sick esp with Brooking and Olshansky], and re-sign TO!

Witten isn't the same TE without Owens...that alone has made a significant difference especially now that defenses have figured out they can cover Roy with a mannequin.

But Keyshawn could actually catch the ball. Owens is so much better than Roy it's not even funny. I hope the chemistry is wonderful because that move was a big time head-scratcher.

It would appear so. Because ugly games like the cowboys have played this year, would have been lost. Roy is not good at all, however to last year was not good and brought too much turmoil.

I'd rather win.

TO is the man. Always has been and always will be. Lol @ lucky 97 yarder. If Roy gets a 97 yard td I'd love to hear how you describe it. But then again, we live in reality so him doing that would never happen anyway. The gap between Owens and Roy is HUGE. Do you guys even watch football? Seriously

Roy Williams has sucked this year.

However TO is no longer with this team so the stupid comparisons are just that...stupid.

Heck if you want to compare someone with TO THIS YEAR stat wise...just compare him to Miles Austin because they seem to be more of a comparison due to both being speed and YAC guys.

However in doing the comparison you might not like the results...if you are a fan of a player no longer on the team that is.

Really...for all of those boohooing about TO and still defending him...HE IS NOT ON THIS TEAM. And for those with the limited reasoning skills to think anyone not in love with TO must love Roy Williams...you again have limited reasoning skills.

Roy Williams may suck, but TO is not on this team, If Roy continues on this path with team, hopefully we will be able to say that Roy Williams is no longer part of this team.

Geez...The TO love is like a plague with some of you guys.
