On my commute home, I listened to Key on his weekly show on Sirius Radio, Taking it to the house. A caller asked Key if he thought Bledsoe was a great QB. Key answered, that he would NOT put Bledsoe in the same class as the other QB's he has played with or is playing with now. The caller then asked about Bledsoe leadership quaility on the field and Key said he didn't respect QBs that made excuses or didn't take blame for their own mistakes. (paraphrasing)

Sounds to me like Key didn't like Bledsloe as the QB on this team.

Another interesting note he said was that , even after TO was signed, there was a heavy push from the Cowboys to sign him back, he just didn't like the money.

Also said he MIGHT be in the owners box for Monday's Night Game against the Gaints at Texas Stadium.

What a punk!
I am not a big believer in Bledsoe, but Key is in no position to call antone out.
He is merely a 2nd/3rd option at this stage of his career.
Catch the button hook Key and shut up!

Key is averaging more ypg than any of our receivers. He can still play some good football

He's said - and left unsaid - similar things in the past. The day he was released, he was very critical of Bledsoe on Pat Kirwan's show.

Our OL woes last year, coupled with Bledsoe's known problems (I'm not bashing here), were a bad mix for Drew Bledsoe. He was in a no win situation and made some excuses. That seems human to me whether you like Bledsoe or not. Key is speaking honestly I suspect, but it doesn't change the fact that he is thowing a former teammate under the bus. Maybe someone can use those words on the clubhouse wall the week of the Carolina game.

I like Key when he was in DALLAS, but I was at the Commander game in DC last year and you can see the entire field and the Deadskins double T. Glenn most of the game and left Key one-on-one and Key could not make any big plays Dallas needed to make a change at the WR position.

Key, like him or not, speaks the truth as he see's it. That I happen to agree with him that Bledsoe sucks and is the reason we will never win a SB is neither hear nor there:)

that's just stupid, man

you're telling me Key drops passes more than Bledsoe throws INT's or errant balls?

or maybe you're referring to that ONE play against Philly last year where Bledsoe threw him into a defender who immediately stripped the ball? the one where they were laughing it up on the sidelines a few minutes after the argument?

get real

That's scary coming from our former warrior from the last 2 years. Most of you may have forgot it already but he was the hands-down leader of this offense for the last 2 years, if not for the entire team. The day we chose Glenn over Keyshawn was a sad-sad day and we lost one helluva player in the process. The nightmares a TO/Keyshawn pairing could have caused for D-coordinators around the world would have been priceless...almost like the one him and Steve Smith have created in Carolina. Incase most of you have convienantly missed that too, Smith/Johnson seems to be the only football being talked about in the NFL these days - god knows it's not football they're talking about when they talk about our WRs, it's everything else under the sun but it's not football very much. But that's right, "Keyshawn sucks and can't catch the ball with his minimal 2nd/3rd option self".

FYI: He's right. Bledsoe is a crappy leader. And the writing is entirely on the wall, stats like he has yet never been able to be a consistant winner with those stats. 1 +1 has just never equalled 2 when you're talking about Bledsoe and that is a bad thing. Step back people, on paper he blows Aikman away....but are we really sure about that, cause the way some of you talk on this board, you most certainly are.

Key is a jerk!!! Have some class (which he doesn't)!!! He might be doing well so far in Carolina, but I'll take T.O.. With Key here, we couldn't make big plays. Glenn was always covered and Key didn't scare any defenders.

I dont recall Key dropping many passes while he was here, but I do recall him making a number of sensational grabs and making Bledsoe and VT look good...

people might not like Keyshawn or something, but the guy left it all on the field when he was here...he was a good player who did everyhting he was asked and then some

Bledsoe has put up some great numbers in his career that he should be proud of. But throughout his career and teams, the same fault(s) seemingly catches up to him and eventually outweighs the good in my opinion.

Unforunately, Key hasn't accepted that he isn't a #1 WR anymore and that he makes a decent #2 guy.

So he tries to make up for that with his mouth. He's intense. But isn't the BP guy he wanted everybody to think he was.

If he was that important to our team, we wouldn't have paid double his salary to get a better player.

Drew was wrong on THAT play.

Well... Key has the SB ring and Drew doesnt.

Key was a Cowboy and I learned to love him while he was here... now he is just another victim of Roy lying in wait

Key would know better than any of us. I don't care who the quarterback is, JUST GET THE JOB DONE!!! I don't want excuses about the line, about the defensive scheme, hurt back, or anything else. Just get the job done!!! Don't choke in the 4th quarter and throw a pick for a touchdown in the last few minutes of the game. Just get the job done!!! Don't get sacked 4- 5 times in one game and throw 3 int's. Don't play good one week and STINK it up the next week. Don't MISS W-I-D-E-O-P-E-N recievers for touchdowns. Give the Dallas Cowboys more than 2 games and a stinker, then 2 stinkers an 1 good game. I'm only Pro-Romo if "Romo can get the job done, with no excuses, no picks for touchdowns". I'm just going by on the field production, his numbers in the Pats superbowl was like 3- 4 picks and 4 sacks. I guess that o-line sucked also. Just be productive. I'll take Roger Staubach, if he still can be productive. The cowboys and the fans deserve more than a 1st round exit in the playoffs due to him getting sacked 5 times and throwing 3 picks.

I've heard and read several things which alluded to him not particularly caring for Bledsoe. So I have no problem with anything he may have said in his show, especially since it's no less critical than what many folks on here say.

It would be hypocritical to call Keyshawn a jerk for what he says about Bledsoe and then turn around and criticize Bledsoe for the very same things.

I like Keyshawn. Liked him before he came, liked him while he was here, and liked him since he left. He's a good solid player, no matter what his role might be on a team at this stage of his career.
