SLATE, you should change your username to SUCKSmosfierce

I was kidding. Jacoby Ford will be a 1st round pick. Last time i checked we don't have two firsts unless we trade up. Jacoby is a G though. Perfect slot guy.

You really think Jacoby will be a 1st rounder? I see Arrelious Benn (Illinois), Dez Bryant (Okie State), Damian Williams (USC), Brandon LaFell (LSU), Marshawn Gilyard (Cincinnati), and a few others ahead of him. If Ronald Johnson from USC comes out early, I'd put him in that group too. I just want a speedy, slot guy, Jordan Shipley works too but I can't do a mock with us drafting 2 Longhorns.

Merriman is extra-roid-inary. Pass.

Dallas got the "real deal" from that draft class - I'd rather lock up Ware and call it a great day. Merriman will likely be featured in some team's garage sale within a season or two. JMHO

True, but Benn, Bryant and Lafell are the cream of the crop. The rest are up for grabs really. Depends what the market is for WR's this year though.

Because you can never have too many pass rushers....

Give me Lights Out Jerry (if his knee is 100%).

His contract will be crazy. How many teams in the nfl will spend 200+ million on two outside linebackers? None. We have some positions that will needed to be filled in the upcoming years. We don't need Merriman. We drafted some OLBs and Spencer will now be the starter. So why do we need Merriman??

Merriman will have a short career. Injuries and steroids will bookend his story.

Not at all interested. If the Chargers give up on him it is because they expect him to be useless fast.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Merriman's body is probably a wreck

I suspect that might be the case too. I don't know how much people remember how he was after he came back from the suspension but he looked like he shrank. I wouldn't be shocked if he is out of football in a few years. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole until he showed he was all the way back.

Even then, probably not. You simply can't pay two bookend high-profile LBers. I know I wouldn't ever want to have to drop him into coverage with any kind of regularity.

I'm gonna save us some money.

Signing Gabe Watson (NT Arizona)
Drafting Adam Ulatoski (T Texas)
Drafting Jacoby Ford (WR Clemson)

Superbowl champs.

not kidding.
Jacoby Ford would easily be our best draft pick that season then. Dude is mad underrated.

The people that are idiots are those that wouldn't want him. Of course you would want the guy. The question is just at what cost.

I agree and I think the cost will be more than what Dallas will be willing to pay. It would be great to have high priced pro bowl players at every position but that is not reality for any team out there. I think it you are investing too much in one area you are taking away from other areas that need to be addressed.
