The whining will be a cacophony if Stanback makes this team.

Especially when he gets injured - again.

it will.

but I'll go on record as saying the best thing that could happen to us at WR is that Stanback makes the team as our #5.

projects are projects and it is stupid to abandon a project too soon.

"Too soon"?

Over two years?!?!?!

He's got more injuries than catches!

How many years do we use a roster space on a project who can't stay healthy?

I'm thinking he will shut them all up in the preseason.

Stanback not falling behind, Phillips says

OK, right, Wade. Whatever.
...

Even if Stanback makes the roster, the team has to have major concerns about his lengthy injury history. It's a good thing Bill Parcells isn't still the coach, because if he was, Stanback would be gone by now.
Does Orsborn work for PFT or what? Blogging shouldn't excuse a journalist from presenting a coach's insight in the right fashion. Phillips shouldn't even respond to him if all Orsborn's going to do is butcher his responses in return.

When he returns, can he stay healthy or not? Stay tuned.

I hear that he is loaded with potential.

Naw. Make him the first cut. RW/Crayfish/Hurd/Miles/anyonebutStanback.

I dont see how Ogletree wouldnt take his spot at this point unless he just totally sucks it up in the pre season games. The only thing that saved Stanback up to this point was his potential and his return abilities. To this point the potential hasnt resulted in squat and Ogletree is a lot more polished reciever and Ogletree can return kicks so IMO that puts the nail in the coffin for Stanback. Dont get me wrong I was excited for the dudes potential the past few seasons but he cant stay healthy and hasnt shown enough at WR to risk cutting a rookie whose already polished and has experience in a pro style set at VA. Ogletree wont last on the waiver wires if we try and put him on the practice squad

Gotta figure that Stanback is history. Can't make the club if you are in the tub! Frankly, he hasn't done much since he has been on the club.

Unfornutately, you are right. When / if Stanback returns, he's still ahead of Ogletree. Just based on knowing the offense and routes. However, the bad sign is...if he gets injured again, then what?

Wade was talking about this in his press conference. Saying how some players seem always hurt...then, all of a sudden, they heal and don't get injured again...

Does anyone know when Stanback will be back at practice? I'm just curios if anyone knows when Mr. "Day to Day" plans to do something on the filed at WR. Who in the meantime is taking his reps at WR and how are they doing?

Cruch is on his last leg.

I don't know where all this love for Ogletree is coming from. I like him because he's from UVA and I'm from Virginia originally, but I think people are just latching on to his name like they did for Amendola.

Hint - we have Felix and Austin to return kicks...we don't need Ogletree to do that.

Or when the Professional coaching staff with their years of NFL experience don't evaluate the roster needs and player talents the same way the [strike]experts[/strike] fans do from their keyboards and TV sets.
